Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 October 2014 - 01:22 PM) Nelson is rated as the worst wr in football this season
santana Icon : (18 October 2014 - 01:34 PM) he has to better than owusu or graham
518-JeTS-FaN Icon : (18 October 2014 - 04:36 PM) I posted an article about harvin and some of his issues. Dude seems like a wack job with talent. Hope rex can corral this guy or he could make the locker room implode
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:43 AM) Wasn't demean Jackson vilified as a gang affiliated street thug during his Philly release
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:31 PM) damn football sunday and no ones on
Canuck Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 01:00 PM) Yeah, cuz Rex is so good at developing offensive talent; 0 - Infinity
Canuck Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 01:02 PM) Harvin is Holmes 2.0, except punches for general bitchiness and annoying first down celebrations.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:03 PM) i'm not buying into the media nonsense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:06 PM) Harvin is a playmaker, we needed one.
Canuck Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 01:15 PM) I hope he tears it up as a Jet, but he's been tossed from 2 teams in as many years and hasn't cracked 1000 yds in his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he had CTE from those brutal head hits, hence the aggression of late.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:18 PM) I was tossed from two t-ball teams and some people still say i was the best hitter on timid deer lane
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:20 PM) bills RBs dropping like flies
Canuck Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 01:20 PM) We'll only really know when the autopsy his brain. Stay tuned! Guy never should have played the Super Bowl after the 2 concussions he suffered against the Saints.

ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:43 PM) Manning just broke the Passing TD record
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:44 PM) :boredom: we could of had him a few years ago
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:44 PM) but at least he didn't break it on us
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:45 PM) I don't think he wanted to be here
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:46 PM) I don't really care for passing records being broken. Qbs now have a lot of rules in their favor
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:46 PM) I mean even the catch that got them into the redzone was a PI call that wouldnt of been called when favre played
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 05:16 AM) is that a suggestion that Favre was a better QB than Peyton?
santana Icon : (Today, 08:05 AM) No it's a suggestion that passing records today are a bit skewed by the modern rules
santana Icon : (Today, 08:05 AM) everyone knows Favre is the bestest ever that's not even an argument duhhhhh

There was a play last night where Ronnie Brown was trapped behind the line when trying to set up for a pass out of the Wildcat. He tried to tuck the ball and scramble, but decided to toss the ball out of bounds when he was on his way down for a loss. No one receiver was in the vicinity and it was clearly done out of desperation.

No flag was thrown.

With a QB, that's intentional grounding 10 times out of 10. Why not with Ronnie?

Does his position as a running back change how penalties against quarterbacks are thrown?

Outside of the tackle box...as long as you're outside of your offensive tackles you can throw it anywhere you want. That's how it works as far as I know.

I don't know that was iffy and could have gone either way, the motion was made before he was completely outside of the OT. The intentional grounding we got earlier was absolute shit though, yet I can't complain because the ref's inability to see hurt the dolphins more than us. That was one of the best worst games I have ever seen. Same old Jets I'm sorry I will never give up my undying allegiance to New York Football 2 but this team is beyond cursed.

ronnie was outside of the tackle box so intential grouning is ok when you are. howver sanchez had a reciever in the vicinity so ti shouldna't have been intential grounding. it didn't matter cause it gave us 3rd and 22 and sanchez hit edwrads for a 1st down, but still. then on the last drive henne was not outside teh taclke box and threw the ball where nobody was even close. that should have been IG. the officiating was horrible

I went basically apesh!t when I saw that last night. As soon as there was no flag there, I knew we were going to lose the game. The officiating in that game was horrendous, but ultimately our Defense cost us that game. We get another shot at them in 3 weeks. Hopefully next time we'll be prepared. The early success the team had may have caused some over confidence. Maybe now that we lost two in a row will get a fire lit under the team's as$.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

Was obviously outside the box, but to answer the other question, if he does stay in the tackle box and throw a pass (which won't ever happen) and he intentionally grounds it, yes it would be the same as a QB.

That happened on our first wilcat play. He threw the ball from the pocket to Fasano.

As far as the Henne play. He rolled out 15 yards to the right remember...outside the tackle box!

He definitely rolled out of the pocket, but alright.

Intentional grounding will be called on anyone who throws a legal forward pass and certain conditions are not met:

1) Was he outside the tackle box to based one the original formation? Remember this is not the hashmarks but where the tackles actually do (or would in the case of no tackle being there, think South Carolina Steve Spurrier gate plays) lineup. If he is outiside the tackle box then having a receiver in the vicinity or not does not matter.

2) Was there a receiver in the area? If he was inside the tackle box a possible receiver must be within the general vicinity of the ball or intentional grounding will be called.

3) Did the ball make it to the LOS? Many people forget this important part of intentional grounding since most qb's don't have this happen to them but if the qb does not reach the line with the throw and no receiver is in the area than they will call intentional grounding, and correct me if I am wrong on this but I am pretty sure whether you are outside the tackle box or not does not matter if you do not reach the LOS with the ball.

As a coach I try to make it my priority to know the rules I am going to be arguing with the refs lol. I am wrong a bit so correct me if I am here but that is everything that goes into an intentional grounding call if I am correct.
