I have been doing a lot of thinking about this lately. We are in first place in the afc east, and we are playing very well offensively, defensively and on special teams. It seems that we are one of the top teams in the league and a big reason of that has to be because we have gelled as a team.
So in the beginning of the year with all the new additions and all of the time and work it took to get those new additions playing full speed, maybe it was just the fact that the new guys and the old guys werent a team yet. So as fans, were we too demanding in the beginning of the year with the coaching? Were we too demanding with how our pass coverage was, or why our revamped Offensive line isnt blocking well. I mean reastically it seems almost unfair how everyone on this board (including myself) was so upset when they lost to the pats for the first time in week 2. Over a thousand times I saw "same old jets" from you guys. Why did we think that a new offensive line could gel in just 1 month? Why did we think Schottenheimer would know what the best plays to call for a new offensive line and a new QB?
I mean the raiders loss was inexcusable, but early on do you feel as if we wanted too much from the jets? Because now i feel like they are playing very well, and all they needed was a few games to gel together.
What do you guys think? Were we too demanding?

If someone can be kind enough as to bump my thread from before Week 1 where I said that we will start off 1-2, then go on to win about 10 games and have a shot at the division.

I've said countless times. We'll be better at the ladder part of the season then the beginning. We just need to win some games early on which we did. Now it's time to win some more and keep on winning.

I am still furious we lost to the raiders. There is no excuse losing to a team that Is QB's by Jamarcus "the ultimate bust" Russell.
