The Skinny Daily Post blog has a great article on how easy it is to consume too many calories with sports drinks. Training supplements such as Poweraide Sports Drinks taste great put also have a lot of calories. If you think of the comparison of sports drinks vs water during exercise, you have to take in consideration what type of training you are doing. If you are aerobic training you don’t really need to have a sports drink’s nutrition. Water would due just fine. But if you are deep into a bodybuilding routine that is using glucose for energy then you need to supplement with a carbohydrate drink.
