I think we should put an end to this thread because it is going to end up getting ugly. Although there are claims made about it not being a "race thing", in actuality it is a "race thing". After reading through carefully it has become apparent to me that some folks want to get into what this country did to the black man and how the white man is keeping Africa down. We are here to discuss football and only football here. I don't want to hear about fighting wars, inequality, Africa's treasures, affirmative action, or anything else not football related. It's 2005 already, let's get past the race issues.

if people want to talk about stuff, then let them. i think we all know the line between a good discussion and something that is off-topic and not worth worrying about.

However, this is NOT a "good discussion". It is pointless. All it will lead to is trouble, so lets leave it alone.

Thanks EC, I wasn't trying to be all righteous and take it upon myself to moderate but like you said the discussion was pointless and would only lead to trouble. Unfortunately there will always be ignorant prejudices against all kinds of people in the world, but I'd like to believe that race is a non issue when it comes to being a professional in the NFL.

that was the most mature thing i have ever seen. tell everyone to end the conversation because it's going to get ugly and it's pointless. and then plug what you had to say as the last word on the thread. BRILLIANT!

Its a shame, in this day and age, with all that is going on,that Race is even involved in sports !
To debate any issue is healthy, and you have to respect other people's opinions,
To try to stop what other people are trying to express their opinions is wrong !
If you dont like the topic ,thats fine too,and I respect that.

Guys this thread is not pointless by any stretch of the imagination. It's out there in sports and in our case football. It's a discussion that can be talked about. I agree that it will get ugly but that's because of other forum users getting to carried away. I'm the person who posted this topic and now that I see the personalities alittle clearer in this site I will be careful from now on posting contraversial topic's.

I thought I was going to be suprised that we can talk about this and not have guys that are going to be offended and can't just sit back and have a good discussion about a good topic.

You guys disappointed me. I thought we were above this. I guess not.

Can the moderator's please lock this thread.

Thanx
