Carbohydrates are needed to build muscle mass. The key is to eat the right carbohydrate type at the right time.Those bodybuilders who follow a low carbohydrate diet might be hurting their chances of building muscle mass. Your list of carbohydrate foods should include the complex type that are wholesome and unprocessed, such as whole grain rice, whole grain flour pastas, whole grain breads, and potatoes. Complex carbohydrates don’t digest too rapidly and are use for a steady fuel for muscle building

It is best to have a high-carbohydrate, moderate-protein, and low fat small meal a couple of hours before a training session. Include some complex carbohydrates in your pre-workout meal.
