Hideki Matsui the New York Yankees Left Fielder broke his Left Wrist trying to make a catch in Thurs night's game against the Boston Red Sox in the First Inning. As Matsui came in to make a catch of a ball that was falling fast he trapped the ball and in the process he turned his wrist and ended up coming out of the game immediatly and reports coming from Yankees.com and 880 WABC New York (Yankees Radio Network) reporting that Matsui ended up breaking his wrist and more will be known after the Surgery is performed tommorrow (Fri May 11,2006) and more is to come concering how long Hideki is going to be out on the Disabled list. What makes this worse is that Gary Sheffield is on the 15-Day DL after suffering a Wrist injury while running out a basehit 2 weeks ago and Gary won't be back til about middle of next week to possibly the start of 2 weeks from now. This is going to leave the Yankees in a quandry with possibly now the door to be opened to bring in either Jacque Jones or Torii Hunter from Minnesota via trade or bringing up a prospect from Columbus (AAA Affliate of the Yankees).

FUC*!!! Without Matsui, whose swing was starting to come back, we'll be missing a vital clog on offense and defese. But maybe this will open the door to another Cano, you never know. Have faith!!!

It was announced tonight before the ballgame before the Yankees vs A's. Hideki Matsui the New York Yankees Left Fielder will be out at least 3 months.....now it's time to see if the youngin's can play (Cabrera or Crosby) if they fail then the Yankees will be forced to make a move to seal up the Outfield position more to come as the season goes on

i like crosby and cabrera they should be playing RF and LF right now.i herd sheff should be back on the 22nd but this is a big lose for the yankees lets see if Giambi and A-Rod can carry the load i think they can
