OFF SEASON ALMOST OVER AUG 13 VS LIONS
azjetfan Icon : (11 June 2015 - 07:37 PM) rumor has it he wanted a raise over his $5.5 million base this year
Jetsfan115 Icon : (11 June 2015 - 07:39 PM) 33 is young for a guard. he's got at least 3-4 more years in him
azjetfan Icon : (11 June 2015 - 07:40 PM) Mmmmm I disagree.
azjetfan Icon : (11 June 2015 - 07:40 PM) I would go 2 year deal.
azjetfan Icon : (11 June 2015 - 07:41 PM) Maybe longer if we could get out of it after 2
Jetsfan115 Icon : (12 June 2015 - 11:36 AM) backloaded 4 year deal ca cut after 2 years wit minimum cap hit
Jetsfan115 Icon : (12 June 2015 - 02:22 PM) Jets sign free agent OT Charlles Brown
azjetfan Icon : (14 June 2015 - 01:48 PM) We won't be able to backload it. He won't accept the offer. Keep in mind he requested he release because they couldn't come to an agreement on a raise.
azjetfan Icon : (14 June 2015 - 01:49 PM) He is probably looking for $7 million or more per year.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (15 June 2015 - 09:44 AM) he was only making 5.5 million this year. we can give him 10 mil signing bonus onf a 5 year deal and a low base salary (like 3 mil a year) it'll average out to 5 mil a year, but he'll get 13 million this year (more then double) and will cost 5 mil a year against the cap for the rest of the deal
2JBallar01 Icon : (15 June 2015 - 02:17 PM) Any news on Mathis at all? Haven't heard anything since his release.
2JBallar01 Icon : (15 June 2015 - 02:17 PM) Also, Sam Baker was cut today as well
santana Icon : (16 June 2015 - 04:52 PM) Titans releasing RB Shonn Greene
MikeGangGree... Icon : (16 June 2015 - 10:40 PM) TEH WARRIORS
santana Icon : (16 June 2015 - 11:08 PM) This trophy ceremony awkward as fuck I had to turn it off
Mr_Jet Icon : (17 June 2015 - 08:02 PM) It really was. It was more Doris Burke interviewing the Warriors than it was a trophy ceremony. Plus Adam Silver forgot to hand the Warriors owner the trophy after he was done talking to the crowd.
Mr_Jet Icon : (17 June 2015 - 08:03 PM) R.I.P. Stuart Scott
MikeGangGree... Icon : (17 June 2015 - 10:05 PM) FIRE SILVER
MikeGangGree... Icon : (17 June 2015 - 10:05 PM) FIRE BURKE
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 June 2015 - 06:27 PM) THE A-ROD!!
santana Icon : (26 June 2015 - 12:19 PM) god damn week no activity in here
santana Icon : (26 June 2015 - 12:20 PM) might have to chop this table up into fire wood
santana Icon : (26 June 2015 - 12:26 PM) FIRE WOOD!
Mr_Jet Icon : (26 June 2015 - 05:54 PM) Kristaps Porzingis???
Mr_Jet Icon : (26 June 2015 - 05:55 PM) You'd think Isiah Thomas was still running the Knicks last night.
santana Icon : (27 June 2015 - 07:30 PM) Lol yeah no clue about those names
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 June 2015 - 10:10 AM) Is there any chance that Porzingis ends up being good?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 June 2015 - 10:10 AM) I'm guessing he won't be the next Pau Gasol or Dirk Nowviski
Mr_Jet Icon : (28 June 2015 - 11:41 AM) You never know, he could be as good as Gasol brothers or Dirk. Honestly the Knicks picking at #4 did the same thing the 3 teams picking ahead of them did. Picked a 19 year who could go boom or bust.
Mr_Jet Icon : (28 June 2015 - 11:45 AM) Porzingis seems to have the "I'm going to prove them wrong" type of attitude needed to overcome people's doubts about him. Hopefully he'll have the work ethic that goes along with that attitude.
azjetfan Icon : (28 June 2015 - 10:17 PM) In other news I decided to shave the dome. Since the hair was falling out anyway I figured I would show it who's boss
santana Icon : (29 June 2015 - 01:11 PM) Deisel up shave the dome
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 June 2015 - 04:49 PM) Welcome home.
azjetfan Icon : (29 June 2015 - 08:59 PM) I feel fast.
azjetfan Icon : (01 July 2015 - 07:53 PM) Shot an 86 today. Personal best.
santana Icon : (01 July 2015 - 08:19 PM) well done
santana Icon : (01 July 2015 - 08:19 PM) im going to play friday
blk_orion Icon : (Yesterday, 08:57 AM) play what? golf?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:16 PM) Sheldon Richardson suspended 4 game for substance abuse.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:16 PM) f***
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:15 PM) DAMNIT TO f***ing HELL!!!!
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 07:46 PM) Yup. Golf. I'm ready to take on Tiger. Mid season form. For what ever reason I am hitting the driver great. 280 and fairly controlled. I'm playing again Saturday.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 07:55 PM) tiger shot a 66 today didnt he easy course though
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 07:55 PM) things were going too well for the jets this off season
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:33 PM) Well I guess Williams will be starting in opening day now

I'd take him, depending on cash. If he'll come back here for a cheap price, I would welcome him back, otherwise no thanks if he's expensive.

Im not so sure, because he has been injury prone lately, and I guess if Thomas Jones hits the UFA, and if we can land Turner, I rather have both of them then Jordan.
Though, if we had Jordan we would have a pretty good 1-2 punch with Washington and Jordan, and believe me, w/e we do in the offseason on getting a RB, this offense is still going to use Washington, he is too good of a back not to use. He is the homerun threat that we havent had in a while, the type of guy that makes gamechangeing plays, like with that 60 yard screen pass, and also that 40 yard one against the Bills that got our offense going. Leon Washington is a Gamebreaker!!

We should at least consider it, especially if he wants to come back.

id definitely take him...the power back to go with washington. we'd have a great inside/outside combo. i dont think his price would be too high since he hasnt really done much in oakland, due to injury and a pretty bad supporting cast. (offensive line, cant pass so opponents stack the box against the run etc.) he's also still 28 with almost no mileage on him. getting him would open up our options in a huge way come draft time.

Yeah, why a team would cut a 28 year old is beyond me. Especially when he's not the problem for the team. They need offensive lineman, and a quarterback which they should be getting with their first pick. This franchise really has gotten stupid since making it to the superbowl that one year.

If Leon Washington was the #1 all year long, he would have rushed for 1,000 +yds. I'd like to see him do it all year long. We could just draft a bruiser in the middle rounds to compliment him. Tangini said they wan't to build this team through the draft, and RB is a very important position obviously, so I think they do it through the draft. No Lamont return.

yea if washington had started the whole year he may have got 1000 yards but it is also hard to say that he actually could carry the load. he has shared his carries almost his whole carrer...I dont think he can rush for 325+ times a year. that being said Id love to have lamont back . Jordan is a good back and rushed for 1000 with that awful line. Bring him back here with a better line and a better offense and id say he would be a very good back. Him and leon would be excellent. Although he has been injury prone a little i think its stupid for the raiders to cut him because like somone above me said...He is not the problem. Its hard to rush for yardage when no one is afraid of your pass and your O-line is awful....He is a good back and if the price is right id look into it...

Yea I would definitely be stoked to see Lamont back in Green and White, but for some reason I just don't think Tangini will do it. I think Anthony Clement is a goner and the high profile player they grab will be a right tackle.

The Bears aren't going to release Jones and if they want to get rid of him they will trade him, which would cost us at least a 1st rounder. Turner will require a 1st to get too so IMO he's out of the picture.
Jordan wouldn't be a bad option but an equal talent could be found in the first two rounds such as Michael Bush and is a younger, cheaper alternative than Jordan.

for this reason doesnt leonard look like the best option. Let leon do a big portion of the work with leonard spelling him, blocking for him, and seeing a ton of redzone action...

FINALLY!!!! A REAL BIG BOY!!!

Jordan is too injury proned and wouldn't be worth the asking price. He has had injuries in each season, even as a backup for us. Give me Turner and I will be very happy.

lamont is just way oeverated, when he was with the jets he got a lot of credit running behind curtis but i doubt he'll be as productive running behind leon.

I could be wrong, but I thought Jones was an UFA this offseason. Even if he wasn't, he wouldn't cost a first rounder. Probably more like a second or third, depending on how eager they are to get rid of him. And I agree that Turner isn't worth a first rounder. I'm not one who really thinks the Jets need a RB early, but I wouldn't mind Michael Bush. He is huge and would be a perfect compliment to Leon.

Thomas Jones could be a UFA, he has a option in his deal, if the Bears want him for another season and he wants to be there then they can go through with the option that will make him a Bear for one more year. Otherwise he could hit the UFA, alot of people think that the Bears may want to just let him go so they can really start running Benson more, and make him the feature back there.

Jones was the better back all season and he has proved more than Michael Turner in the league so if the Chargers get a 1st for him then that sets Jones' value slightly higher IMO although you can't go much migher than a 1st crazy.gif . Even though they have Benson why would they want to get rid of him anyway? It's a similar situation in NO with two highly paid backs and I don't see McAllister or Bush leaving any time soon. A lot of teams are shifting towards having two RBs who share the load and him and Benson were a successful tandem so why should they break it up?
Jones has outplayed Benson so far and got the Bears into the playoffs the past two seasons as the starting RB. Despite having a lot invested in Benson why should they go for him when it has been proven to them that Jones is the better back of the two right now?
I'd rather get a guy like Michael Bush though: younger and cheaper although a bit less talented but at least we won't pay over the odds for him.
