azjetfan Icon : (22 April 2015 - 03:09 PM) We can probably get Gordon in the second. I would pass at 6. If QB is not available a pass rusher will be. Our biggest needs are QB Pass rusher and Oline.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 03:34 PM) any thourghts on shane ray? i see a lot of mocks have us drafting him
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 04:35 PM) last one i seen had us taking cooper, a RB, and hundley for our 1st 3 picks. not thrilled about that
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 04:38 PM) I don't like Gordon much. Not much of a receiver or blocker, ball security issues, tries to bounce outside too much, stuffed frequently. Gurley is in a league of his own
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 04:39 PM) Ray is pretty highly regarded. I'm betting he, Dupree, and Gregory will be our best options as well as edge rushers at 6, but I think that's too high for any of them
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 04:43 PM) Personally love Cooper, I know WR isn't our biggest need but he may be the most NFL ready guy in the Draft. If we stick to the 6th pick and Fowler, Beasley, and Mariota are gone, Cooper is the guy to get. I'd even take him over Beasley
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 05:45 PM) i don't mind cooper. decker isn't number 1 IMO and marshall is expensive and getting old
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 05:45 PM) and we never draft a WR high
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 05:45 PM) but o-line and QB are huge needs. i wouldn't take o-line 6th overall, but i think our 2nd or 3rd should be o-line
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 05:46 PM) we need an OLB as well. if we don't land a QB i'd like to see OLB adn O-line with 2 of our top 3 picks
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 08:16 PM) I agree on Deck, not a true #1 and he's had a checkered history with injuries. Marshall has 2, maybe 3 productive years left, which is why Cooper is an option
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 08:17 PM) And I agree with you on edge rusher & OL being bigger needs, but there really isn't a lineman I'd take at 6
Chadforpresi... Icon : (22 April 2015 - 08:19 PM) So the way I see it, assuming Winston and Mariota are taken when we're at 6, that Fowler and Cooper are our best choices, and I'd be stunned if Fowler drops. I wouldn't be surprised (or upset) if we land Cooper
NJAzrael71 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 08:47 PM) Apparently Tennessee wanted both of Cleveland's #1's and their 2nd rounder to move up to the #2 spot to get Mariota. Still think two 1st rounders are too much for Rivers? He makes us instant contenders and if we make a deep playoff run, it would really be this year's 1st and what equates to basically a 2nd rounder next year.
If not, get Cooper in the 1st and then grab Hundley in the 2nd and O-line in the 3rd.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:05 PM) I wouldn't be upset with Cooper, hes a stud
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:06 PM) Not sure about Ray. Dupree is rising on the draft boards, ridiculously athletic for his size
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:07 PM) Dupree is 6'4 270 and has a amazing get off and runs a 4.5
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:09 PM) Problem is he doesn't have big sack numbers in college, I rather draft a productive guy high
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:09 PM) Vic Beasley is insanely athletic as well and was hugely productive in college, good bet is that Beasley will be a 10+ sack guy in the NFL
NJAzrael71 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:12 PM) Beasley should be a stud but he gets caught up hand fighting if he doesn't beat his guy quickly. He'll likely end up as an OLB but we'll see
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (22 April 2015 - 10:15 PM) He'd be a good fit in our defense, because we could use that speed guy on the outside
Chadforpresi... Icon : (23 April 2015 - 06:27 AM) I'd love Rivers, but we should be able to get him without paying 2 first rounders
Chadforpresi... Icon : (23 April 2015 - 06:29 AM) Lot of buzz about Dupree going top 10, most mocks I see have us getting either Ray or Dupree at 6. I prefer Dupree, like you said insane athlete for his size
Chadforpresi... Icon : (23 April 2015 - 06:30 AM) I like Beasley as well but I have a strong feeling Washington will snag him. But he is a small dude, it'd be nice if he'd add some bulk (in Clemson reportedly played around 230)
Chaos Icon : (23 April 2015 - 10:11 AM) @ArifHasanNFL

.@LanceZierlein says on http://sports790.com that Shane Ray will need surgery on foot, 5 months recovery. "Could drop out of first"
Chaos Icon : (23 April 2015 - 10:14 AM) this should change up the top 10
Chadforpresi... Icon : (23 April 2015 - 12:16 PM) Damn that's big. If he drops out of round 1 that could be a massive bargain for whoever gets him round 2. Dupree now looks more like the edge rusher we'd get at 6
MikeGangGree... Icon : (24 April 2015 - 09:40 PM) TEH RANGERS
santana Icon : (24 April 2015 - 11:32 PM) TEH WIZ
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:57 AM) Teh Suarez
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:58 AM) Vic Beasley is all speed. No moves, no power. Straight up the field. Could have some big games, then nothing in the next
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:59 AM) If we don't get Mariota, we should be looking at Schreff or trading down, IMO.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:59 AM) A lot of good edge rushers in this draft... I wouldn't want to take Dupree that high.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:00 AM) Until next time fellas!
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 01:19 PM) Helloooooooooo
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 01:19 PM) Bueller
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:33 PM) Manish says the Jets should trade down and draft Andrus Peat round 1

santana Icon : (Today, 08:08 PM) THE CAPS
santana Icon : (Today, 08:28 PM) RIOT
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 08:37 PM) Missouri edge rusher Shane Ray was arrested Monday morning for possession of marijuana in Cooper County, Missouri, Brandon Kiley of KTGR in Columbia, Missouri reports.

the franchise in 2k5 was way better. 2K can't make games anymore because maden paid big time money to buy out the NFL license. it had nothing to do with quality. donald trump could have bought it and made his own game and madden would be no more

In the bold print, thanks for the joke, I really did need a laugh. Thanks. There is no way 2K has a better franchise then Madden. 2K has no chance of wining in that category, not a shot. Donald Trump would not buy a football game, lol. Madden is still better then 2kK, for sure. There is only one game that is, and ever was better then EA Sports Madden, and thats Tecmo Superbowl, I am sure everyone would agree with me on that one.

no way the madden mode was so stupid the OXM made fun of it along with other websites. He said he benched vick to se what would happen and screwed up his whole franchise because vick demanded to be traded and it killed his cap. it also said fabini wanted like 8 mil a year from him then signed with another team for 2. 2K5 gave features like they talked about rookies during the season then you have to go to the combine and scout players which makes it more realistic then gettting a projected rating like madden gives. Also it allows you to set up meeting and workouts and filter them to a postion to improve them before a gaem for instace you can really work your Cbs hard befor a game with the rams and boost them up a few points for the week but if you overwork them they'll lose a few points. i bet u never even pplayed 2k5 to think that. madden knew it was better that why they bought out the competition. every year 2k series cut more and more into the madden sales

Oh yeah and what were the rookies names in the ESPN game? All these names that are NOT in college football. In Madden all you have to do is put them into it. I know the players have no names but, I know someone who could get me them all. Then I get all these real players, while 2k gets all these fake players. Now... what would you rather have? real or fake? Obviously real would have to be the choice. Combine, and stuff does not make a game more realistic, you are just sayinh you'd rather sim a game in franchise, then play it. Yeah, and remind me how is 2k gonna do this year in cutting Madden's sales?

You can’t rate real college players of akili smith and tim couch would be 90+. You can’t tell how the’ll do in the NFL. Plus the fact that the players get names and faces is better then a number and a blacked out face with a bogus rating. I used to like madden since 93 on sega genisys but in 2k3 I though they were both even games then after 2k4 I kicked madden out the door and moved on. Until now.

Yeah, and now your gonna have to buy Madden, if you want a real football game, so face the facts... Madden wins...

Unless the games name is Madden, and has been on top of the world of Football gaming since the early 90's. Madden has as much as it's fans because it has been here for along time, and it was like the only football game going around, other then gameday, and well gameday has always sucked, except for '98.

Also, I like this little video game discussion we are having...

That’s exactly why. I agree with you 100% madden was good ( I loved madden 96 for PS1, its one of my all time favs) but since 2002 its kinda sucked. I have madden 03 and 04 on my modded xbox and they don’t compare to the 2k series. 2K5 is the best football game of all time. I also loved NFL football for the super Nintendo. And the mutant league one was fun for sega. You could actually bribe the ref. anyway madden built a fan base so its hard for a new guy to step in. its the only reason it sells so much

Not to go back on old topic, but the rosters and rankings for madden aren't finalized until the first depth charts come out in july. The new feature is gonna be a passing cone to make the game more realistic, and it look 10% harder than 05. To go along with the 2k5 argument, so many people say 2k5 is better, from a game standpoint, but if you look at it it really isn't. The graphics suck, and there is only a limited amount of stuff you can do with the rosters. My brother, ewokentourage, likes 2k5 but he's dumb

Actually u can do a lot more with the rosters and every single game magazine agrees that the graphics are way better (at least on xbox they are). 2K5 was better in every way except madden had better training mode

I played 2k5 (either 02 or 03), and I wasn't too impressed.

THe big thing for me is game physics. In most cases, the "extras" don't even do much. I owned the last Madden, and let me throw out some examples:

1-the Radio
This was really cool, at first. But after a season or so I had heard everything the game had to say and so was forced to listen to it over and over and over.

2-Madden challenge
THis is the worst. If I want to play Blitz, and kick a 90 yard FG or have unlimited pass range, I'll play Blitz.

3-Trades
I was never ONCE offered a trade for players. If I had players on the block, I didn't get offered a trade. I mean literally, never. THe closest thing was in the draft, when I would be offered absurd pick for pick trades (ex: their 2nd and 5th for my 1st).

4-scouting
I thought it was really lame to barely be able to scout anyone. You get three wounds of scouting, where you can scout ten players in each round. TO get any really good info, you have to scout someone in every round, and only scouting someone once gives yo ualmost nothing. Basically, you can scout 10 guys. That is extremly lame.

I could probably come up with more, but I want to get to my real grip abotu football games...

THE PHYSICS SUCK!!!

I expect the game to be harder on the highest levels, but I wish their was one pure middle level game with really good physics. As it stands (and I have owned 2 of the last 3 Maddens), I have CBs with 4 foot verts knocking perfectly thrown balls out of the air, guys with speed in the high 70s catching up to a guy with 95+, or Emmit Smith breaking...SEVEN tackles in one play!*

I have yet to play a football game that has as good of physics as most Basketball, Baseball, or Hockey games. Usually, I think they are really poor, due to the above examples and many more like them. Is Madden the truest football game now? Yes. Is it likely to be representative of the real game? I doubt it.

*(this was an '03 game) Emmit broke through the line, knocking down BOTH my DTs. THen he stiff armed a LB, and broke the tackle of another one. Just then he spun, knocking over a LB (maybe a DB) from behind and a CB coming in front. He had a clear path now, and took off downfield, but another DB came in and tried to tackle him from behind. He hit him, but Emmit highstepped and the DB fell down.

All in all he broke seven tackles, and ran in for a 50ish yard TD. Having already had this sort of thing happen several times, I packed up the game and returned it...di I mention that this happened on the "normal" setting?

the physics ion 2k3 had problems but by 2k5 it was completey fixed. as far as the cone. the best passing feature was total control passing in NFL fever 2004. the game sucked but the passing was really cool. you controlled a target with the right thumbstick then used the right trigger to throw it so you through to a spot. anyway back on topic madden has the worst physics evey. i scored a TD by picking up the ball off my friends back in the endzone? plus a deep post to stallworth will burn u all the time. all they care about in madden is speed. and the DBs jump 10fit in the air
