MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:31 PM) if I'm wrong I will eat m crow
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:39 PM) Some mocks had him top 10
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:42 PM) this guy is small
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) Most mocks had Lee at 17 to the Falcons
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) He's a day 1 starter for us. We've needed OLB forever
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:46 PM) Plus we generate a great rush from wilk rich and Williams
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) I wanted Lawson bad
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) f***ing bills
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:51 PM) Lee fills a need better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) I would have liked tunsil to slide to us though. After east picking great
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) Would you take Lee over Lawson?
azjetfan Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:55 PM) I'm not inspire by that pick. Not even a little
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:01 PM) Wasn't an option. Lawson was gone
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:02 PM) Lawson is more of a de. We already have too many of those. We only have 1 proven LBer and he's 32 and we run a 3-4. Lee is a day 1 starter
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:03 PM) Broncos traded up for lynch
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:41 PM) Round 1 is done
2JBallar01 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 12:43 AM) He will play ILB for us.

Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 11:19 AM) jets tried to trade up for tunsil but the price was too high
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 05:10 PM) Tunsil will end up out of the league
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 05:12 PM) Lee isn't a pass rusher, hes a fast athletic LB. Hes probably their future at ILB, someone who can cover in the middle
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:16 PM) jets said he's an ILB for us
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:17 PM) If we could grab jack he would be an OLB
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:17 PM) ttians have 3 picks in the next 13 picks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:33 PM) jack to jax 36th overal
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:33 PM) Did you hear that the 1st round pick for the Browns RETIRED after getting drafted
SoReALSoJetS Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:29 PM) Hi guys long time no talk hope everyone is well
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:46 PM) SMH
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:46 PM) JETS drafted QB Hackenberg PSU
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:47 PM) Should have picked Connor Cook.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:56 PM) I guess we are giving up on petty
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 09:02 PM) Or giving up on geno
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 09:02 PM) I said the rumor was they liked him more then cook
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 11:35 PM) I know I'm biased, but I've seen them both play. Cook is just better. Hackenberg had one good year. Cook has won more games, played in big games and won them....whatever, its done now so no sense on dwelling on it I guess. I just don't see the appeal in Hackenberg, nice kid, but I always thought he was really overrated. Oh well. I would have taken Kevin Hogan over Hackenberg.
azjetfan Icon : (30 April 2016 - 03:47 PM) From what I have read so far he had a great freshman year under Obrien in a pro style offense. At that point some considered him the next Andrew luck. Then Obrien left and they shifted to a spread under new HC who did poor job bringing in talent. He was also sacked and hit a million times. Might be shell shocked.
Smedsthejet Icon : (01 May 2016 - 06:17 AM) But Chan Gailey runs a spread system - still, I'm comfortable with the Hackenberg pick seeing as Gailey will develop the system to suit his strength... I'm just glad that we passed on Paxton Lynch in the first...we still desperately need Fitz to re-sign though
azjetfan Icon : (01 May 2016 - 07:14 PM) From my understanding the spread in college and the spread in NFL are not the same principals. I really think it was more of a talent issue and getting sacked 80 times in 2 years that did him in. I have no idea if he will make it. I don't follow college ball enough to to know. Theses are just things I read in articles.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:24 AM) I'm stoked about getting peake in the 7th round. that was a steal. he was a projected 3rd rounder. wonder what scared teams away
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:05 PM) Jets Invite Terron Beckham(Odell's Cousin) to Minicamp
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:06 PM) Listed as a RB had more bench presses and highest vertical of anyone this year. Hasn't played football since high school and apparently not very smart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:16 PM) The Jets had Hackenberg as their #2 rated QB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:16 PM) Apparently, they loved Golf and tried to trade up. When that failed, their #2 QB was Hackenberg, they fell in love with his football IQ
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) It would be a mistake to start him right away, hes a guy who needs development. He has the talent, and apparently he has good leadership skills and football IQ. His mechanics are off though

I agree this is a very strong class. Almost every category has star potential. RB,LB,DE,DB there are lots of potential early and late rounds in all these categorys.

Yeah I can't help ya here jetsfan115...this draft is solid. It may not have the top 10 of last year with guy's like Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, D'Brickashaw, AJ Hawk, etc. But who cares about top 10...we ain't picking there. It is much deeper...much...much...MUCH deeper than last year! As someone else pointed out this is one of the best WR's classes...possibly ever. You can easily get a great, instant starter at WR in the 3rd round...it is honestly that deep!!!

The QB class is pretty deep...it doesn't have the frontliner's like Young, Leinart, and Cutler...but not many drafts do.

RB is really the only weakness in this class that I see...other than that we can walk away with some good talent this year.

Yeah a top 5 doesnt show the strength of a draft class. Its how good the players are in later rounds and the depth

Well I'll agree with that...it isn't as strong at the top...but it has much more depth. And when we're picking at 25 or 25 ??? we're going to want the depth.

However, there still is star talent...

Calvin Johnson - One of the best WR prospect's ever.

Joe Thomas - Many think he's a better prospect than D'Brick was.

Adrian Peterson - The best pure running back to come out of the draft in years...Eric Dickerson clone.

Alan Branch - Amazing combo of huge size and athleticism.

Amobi Okoye
- We all know the story of the 19 year old senior.

JaMarcus Russell - Probably has the strongest arm of anyone in any level of football...I can't think of a pro with a better arm...now combine that with his 6'6" 260 pound body that runs a 4.7...and you've got one hell of a QB!

So no...not the same star talent as last year...but it is a hell of a lot better than most years in my opinion!

this class has star potential......if i had to take a choice between bush and peterson i would take peterson in heart beat.........joe thomas is said to be even better than D-Brick.........Quinn and Leinart have the same pro potential coming out of college......theres about 3 guys who could be better prospect than mario williams....williams was top 10 before the combine but shot up after because of his measurables.....there are DE's with that potential in this draft........wr isnt even close.......their isnt any vince young or jay cutler in this draft.........but you could get guys in the 2nd or 3rd round who might be just as good.......troy smith, drew stanton

The QB I like who I think will be a 1st rounder now, is Drew Stanton. I think that he earned the #3 QB taken in this draft. If we needed a QB of the future, I would defintely want to draft him at #25. The guy has a big arm, acurate, and is very mobile. He did really good at the Senior Bowl today. In my opinion, hes the 3rd best QB in the draft. Behind, Russell and Quinn.

I cant see how u say calvin johnson and thats it...keep in mind if AP didnt go down last year and half of this year he would have bigger hype than reggie bush comeing out and would be the only other player besides archie to win two hiesmans...i think he wouldve been more dominant than bush last year..bottem line is whoever gets AP whether its #1 or #31 is getting a steal because he once in a generation type back

He was second to Leinart in 2004. He's never won it.

I'm aware, that's why I'm wondering if I misunderstood the comment. Either way, AP is gonna be a bad ass. I'm not sure how much I really like the rest of this years RB class. The only RB I really like is Michael Bush. He's huge, he's fast enough to break away, he's powerful, he's got a really good nose for the endzone. Those are good qualities to have in a RB.

I think a Bush-Washington backfield would be super as you have two home run threats as both have breakaway speed whilst Bush can use his size and power to really wear down the defense and then Washington can come in and take it to the house around the outside. Washington isn't a back who excels running between the tackles constantly but he can turn the corner with his speed. It can work vice versa too as Washington can do like Tiki Barber did and get the ball inside the five for Bush to punch it in down near the goalline. It would give us a more multi-dimensional backfield.
With a guy like Cedric Houston, he is a powerful back but we have to rely on Washington to break a big gain which tires Washington out as he already takes the bulk of the carries. With Bush and Washington though you would have a good backfield where a 50-50 share of the carries could work wonders.

If this draft is so deep then we need to start shipping some of these pricks out and getting picks.

pricks for picks...I like that, mcareins and all the rest of em..
