Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:48 AM) It's whatever

OK what do u guys think. I need a stud WR so I offered (to the last place team who needs a RB badly)

D.davis and M.clayton

For

C.johnson and c.martin

His staring RBs are martin and bennet (ouch I know) and he doesn’t even have a decent back-up option he does however have both mannings. If he trades me for this then tardes a manning for another stud RB he’d be set. He has some good WRs so tahts not a concern. I need a WR badly and I still have tiki, k.jones and ship. So I figue I can start tiki and jones and still have 2 decent back-ups in ship and martin.

What do u guys think?

You'd get the best of the deal, but at least he'd have a back with some potential instead of two guys who can't combine for ten points.

Bennet and martin combined have less total points then d.davis and davis already had his bye week. Bennet isn’t even the starter in minn. Anymore. he needs a back badly and he has other WRs plus getting clayton isn’t a bad option to start either. Our league scores high and weirdly. Last year d.davis was the 3rd best back behind LT (1) and westbrook (2). I’m only trading him cause after this week k.jones will be able to take off againss bad defenses.

OMG the guy I offered accepted the dumbest trade ever. I hope the commish bounces it back but my league is crooked, one of the commish is on the good side of the deal and the other might get brought off to let it through. He accepted to take willie parker straight up for eli manning.

Willie Parker might not be starting in the next couple weeks as Bettis and Staley are both going to be back. There were rumors last week that Staley would get the start, so his value is dropping quite a bit.

And, honestly, don't you think you're a little bit predjudiced against all things-Giant? I know you have a lot of dumb Giant fans around, but Eli is scoring pretty well and has a lot of weapons. Ah, I guess I'm the same way with the Chiefs.

I know eli is. Maybe u read my post wrong. I said he was dumb for giving up eli and only getting parker in return. I’m giving eli his props as a fantasy player only. Face it he hasn’t faced a real defense but he really wont have to all year. I know philly but besides them who else? Dallas isn’t playing well on defense. The skins isn’t what it was last year sooo… oh and he rejected the davis trade. That’s pure dumbness. He needs a RB so he tardes a top 5 fantasy guy right now at QB (most important) for a soon to be back-up RB. That’s gonna blow up in his face

Yeah, I thought you meant the other way, with the guy getting Eli being screwed. How long have you been in that league? I'd be surprised if an experienced FFL operatot allowed a trade like that to go through, or at least one who was playing with friends.

THe worst trade I've seen in my league just went through, it was:

Vick, Stephen Davis, and Tory Holt for Lamont Jordan. Jordan was maybe worth Holt on his own, and I think Holt has better value (in that league receivers who get long TDs score as well as #2RBs except Moss and Owens who almost score as well as #1s). So he got 1)a great receiver, 2)a starting RB who gets TDs, and 3)a QB with upside as a #2 and only gave up an underachieving RB in exchange. But our commish checked with the other owner and tried to talk to him out of it.

Well, then the guy offered me A.Green, Vick, and Bruce for McGahee and Muhammud. I guess he thinks he can get on a role with getting trades that are steals.

Actually the guy that traded eli proposed the trade I found out. they let it pass cause we have a 2 headed commish and both of the commishes passed trades that favored the other guy. Next year I’m making sure we install a league wide vote on trades. this is our 2nd year doing it so there are still bugs in the system. U can’t blame people for wanthing a competitive advantage

Yeah, but a commish should choose fairness more than anything. When I got the FA going in our league I waited two days before I used it, just to make sure I wasn't using it before everyone knew.

I just made a trade. I traded barber and clayton for plax and taylor.

I figured I needed a stud WR and the gianst crappy defense leads to a lot of throwing. Think about it the worst defenses usually means good QBs for fantasy, green and manning of past years etc. I figure plax will continue to be eli’s go to guy for a while so barbers production will go down. Plus they use Jacobs on goaline. He took 2 TDs from barber already

I would rather Parker over Eli, Cowher says Parker isn't losing the starting job, and all the Steelers do is run. Eli was a free agent in my league until this week, and QB's are easier to come by then starting RB's. He was desperate for a RB, I think it was a fair trade.

I think Parker keeping his job is like the Vikings saying that Tice's job is safe. Staley and Bettis will get at least some carries, and it should be enough to keep Parker from being anything better than a #2 or (more likely in my opinon) #3 fantasy back. And then he might just lose it if he doesn't play well for a game or goes down. So to me, Parker has a lot of downside and Eli has a lot of upside as a guy on the rise.

If Parker gets less than twenty carries a game (Staley gets some), and Bettis only gets goal line carries (like last season), he loses a lot of value. You can pretty much forget bonus points for reaching a certain number of carries or yards (usually 20 and 100, respectfully) and won't get many TDs. I wouldn't be surprised if he started getting cut in a lot of leagues in the coming weeks.

I got a question for you, I got Staley on 1 of my teams, I have him on the bench, do you think he is worth keeping him or should I just drop him? Cause I heard he ain't even gonna be on the roster this week, cause they have Parker, Bettis and that Haynes guy. I don't know what is going on with Staley. Should I just keep him and hope that Parker gets benched, but is he still worth it, cause Bettis will steal all his TDs anyway.

It depends on who is out there in the FA market. In my league, if I had Staley, I would keep him right now because there isn't anything out there. But I don't think any Steeler back can be trusted right now, or at least after this week, with so many proven players in the mix that all want some playing time. Parker probably has one more week as a real starter and then it may become a real RB-by-commitee scenario with none of them having a lot of value...

as usual, I didn't really answer the question. I would drop him, but only if you actually get something in return.
