Jetsfan115 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it

Let New Orleans have it...Sean Payton should be Man of the Year with the way he has handled that city...he's done great thing not only for the football team but for the people of the city. He is the perfect coach at the perfect time for that team and city.

Totally agree here, both Payton and Mangini did great things for their team, both were deserving. But the Saints aren't just a city's team, they're America's team, and that gave Payton votes. There's always another time for Mangini to get it, I'm sure there will be.

iagree.gif Both coaches did great jobs but Payton's was certainly a little more impressive considering what the city went through. Yeah he got Bush, Brees, Colston etc... but a coaches job is to get the best out of what you have at your disposal and Payton did that, as did Mangini.
Mangini did deserve the AFC award hands down though.

I don't know. I'm not undermining what happened in New Orleans, but frankly, I don't see what that has to do with a football team. I think Payton did a great job, and I'm not really upset about him getting coach of the year. Still, Mangini absolutely did more with less. I think the award could have gone either way, but Payton getting 44 votes and Mangini getting 3 is a joke.
