Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:31 PM) http://newyork.sbnation.com/2012/8/17/3249284/heisman-trophy-watchlist-2012-las-vegas-betting-odds-line-matt-barkley-montee-ball-denard-robinson
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football

I would hate to see Joe go, but it might just be for the better. I hope the yankees get Girardi, regardless of what the New York Daily News is reporting.

They will get Lou. It is good too, because I really think that this team needs a change at the top at Manager.
They also need to bring in new pitchers like Barry Zito.

They need to get rid of everyone on there Pitching Staff besides Wang. Sadly that is going to be hard because pavano and Johnson and Johnson are still under contract. (unless he retires) I think Zito will go to the Mets.

Mike Mussina is still good he can stay.
Your not talking about relief right? Because Rivera is a must stay.
I think the Yanks, need to get Willis, and Zito.
I think the Yankees can get Zito, they would pay him more and some players on the team has been recruiting him.

He's the reason the Yankees haven't won the World Series. That Genius seriously believes if he puts a bunch of all stars together they will automatically win the World Series. It's all about Chemistry, I don't think he's smart enough to look at all of the teams that knocked his team out in the past 5 years to realize that.

No our relief is fine, Rivera is still the best closer ever. Mussina blew game 2 and is old and wants a big deal most likely. Zito is going to the Mets because there pitching coach was his old pitching coach when he was really good. Willis would be nice but we would have to give up a lot to get him, there is no way in hell the Marlins want A-rod. The Pitchers I want in the offseason are Ted lilly, Andy Pettitte if we can get him for a small deal and Gil Meche. Our Rotation is then Wang, Lilly, Pettitte, Meche and Johnson. Is it a great rotation, no, is better than what we had this year, possibly.

When the Yankees where really good (1996-2001) They had chemistry, clutch hitting, good-great Defense and great pitching. I hope steinbrenner relizes this and looks back at how good they where and starts building the way we once where.

maybe lou piniella will do what he did in tampa bay. start the game with rivera and end it with johnson. i will actually kinda feel sorry for the yanks if torre was fired and piniella hired. i liked torre and the pre 2000 (it ended in 2000)yankee world series teams. the so called best team money can buy was shut down by the amazin tigers.(yes the tigers if they even go to the world series have earned the title of amazin in my book) the tigers worry me about their pitching if they and the mets reach the world series.

I actually feel that it is time for the Yankees to fire Joe Torri, he hasnt gotten the job done.

Dude, the Yankees lost because of the pitching. Pitching wins championships. The Yanks havent had a good rotation since Clemens and Pettit was here.
They do need Chemistry though, I think they should keep Melky at LF to start off the year and get rid of Matsui.
Or move Melky to CF and move Damon to LF and have Abreu at RF. But I would keep Melky as a starter next year. He is good.

Mussina also has been doing bad since he had that injury this year. I say keep him.
He would atleast be good as a 3rd pitcher.
I would make a huge run for Zito though, Damon and Giambi have been trying to recruit him. He would be smart to stay in the AL also.
If you cant get him then get Willis. The Yanks need a big time pitcher. They need a new Ace.
Wang is good though, he has alot of promise.

1) Wang
2) Mussina

Looks like Torre is staying for now, which is a mistake. Some observations and responses to posts above.

1. Torre's time has run it's course. Yeah, he's got some positives but he's one of the most overrated mangers in baseball. Seriously, how many great moves have you seen the guy make? He very often makes bad decisions regarding batting orders and pitching substitutions. His biggest asset is keeping the clubhouse together, but that doesn't win World Series.

2. Chemistry is way overrated in baseball. It's much more of an individual sport than football, basketball, or hockey. Saying the Yankees didn't win the World Series because of chemistry is absurd. See the ball, throw the ball, catch the ball, hit the ball, run the bases, etc. What chemistry is needed for that? Yes it helps some in the clubhouse but on the field it's hardly an issue.

3. The Yankees lost because of pitching; they don't have enough live arms. Wang is great. Mussina is over the hill and made an absolutely terrible 0-2 pitch in game two. Johnson is a waste. I don't care how many games he won, he's not going to succeed in the World Series with 5.something ERA. None of the suggestions I've seen above make sense to me. I'd go after Zito (I don't think he's signed at this point) and then some flamethrowers. Wang, Zito, and three new guys is what I'd go for starters. No Pettitte, No Mussina, No Johnson, No Lidle. No more soft-armed guys. You've got two in Wang and Zito. Get some others who can bring it. Of course this will never happen. Johnson is around for sure and at $16M a total waste. How do you give that much money to a player who's going to be that old? Anyway, I'm not sure of the answer here (I don't know who Matsuzaka is) but the suggestions above aren't going to cut it.

4. The Yankees should ditch Sheffiled and use the money on a pitcher. I like Sheffield but they need to get younger and improve the pitching staff.

5. I hate to say it, but ditch A-Rod. Enough already. He simply feasts on mediocre to bad pitching and does squat against good pitching, which is what you see in the post season. Really, can someone tell me the last time they saw A-Rod get a clutch hit against a really good pitcher? Trade him for an established pitcher and some young arms and move on.

There's probably more but that's all that comes to mind at this point.
