That's very true but once the Jets brass found out that Carl Peterson was tampering with a coach again (he had to give up a 2 and a 3 in the Vermeil tampering case) the Jets were foolish to let KC off the hook. They certainly would have been able to get at least a pick from the first day as punishment for KC. Instead they settle for a 4th with no beef in a clear cut case of tampering.

i was also still a herm fan and never ripped on the guy. sure he wasnt perfect but id rather have him here then ,amy of the coaches rumored to be comming here. I am pissed off at him now that he left but again the way we handled this he had no choice to leave.

I wanted to get rid of Herm...I'm not denying that. But it's just like running a business. You have something the other guy wants. You don't give it up for nothing regardless of how bad you want to get rid of it. KC wanted Herm, we had him. Plain and simple. You want him, then pony up and put your money where your mouth is.

We could have gotten more for him on Ebay...I know I could have traded him for an original Optimus Prime or Omega Supreme

I liked Herm too. Still do. But I don't see how that affects the fact that the Jets absolutely should have gotten more than a 4th round pick for him. They did have him under contract, after all.

Geez, the Jets believed the Browns when they told them, "Heck no! We won't give you any more than a fourth rounder for Edwards", then within a couple of hours, the Browns turned around and gave Edwards $3 million a year.

Meanwhile, most 4th round picks aren't even on the team a year later.

Yeah I'm glad we got Leon...but that still doesn't change the fact we probably should have had a second rounder...a second rounder could have turned into Maurice Jones Drew...

Who would you rather have...Maurice Drew or Leon Washington?

Plus...we can't be on Bradway's dick...because he didn't make the pick...the props go to Tangini now...

I think the trade of the decade was Eli Manning for Philip Rivers, Shawne Merriman, and Nate Kaeding. Was there anyone else the Chargers got off that trade?

Actually...I know that was the trade of the decade...

iagree.gif SD has made two great trades since 2001 when they traded the #1 overall to Atlanta who took Vick and the Chargers got Tomlinson. However that trade didn't bring the Chargers as many impact players as the trade made with the Giants. SD fans shouldn't boo Eli whenever they play the Giants because his bitching got the Chargers three damn good players.

Well that first trade got them LDT and Brees, the top 2 MVP candidates this year so I think you can say that trade was just as good. Either way both worked out great for them.
