Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII

Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game

Thats was a deal. And i like how you compare Rowand's fielding to Beltran's. The only other Center Fielder thats close to Beltran is Andruw Jones, and even hes a stretch.

The Mets own the Phillies at every position except for 2nd base. Sal Fasano is a chump, he looks like he was born in Philly.

You really showed how much know about baseball with your ridiculous comments

Tori Hunter is a way better fielder then Beltran and Andruw Jones, and also Rowand.

QUOTE (JerseyJet @ Jul 11 2006, 09:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Sal Fasano might suck, but he's a good guy. Just because the mets are doing great this year and I'm supporting my team, dos'nt mean I don't know alot about baseball. I'm not one of those front running Yankee or Red Sux fans. I know my baseball, thankyou, and I like to support my team.
Besides, Rowand is a extremely good fielder. Yes, he could'nt hit a beach ball that was on a tee with a telephone pole. But look at the catch he made against the mets, look at the rest of the diving catches he made. He is a very sharp center fielder, and thats why he has a ring on his finger.

You know, just because a person is a Yankees fan doesnt make them a front runner. Just because they are the best team in history of baseball.
People can like them because their they're team.

first off, howard needs to get better at fielding
second off, wright has a better a better batting average then utley and, did u just see him in the home run derby
third off, beltran has 25 home runs, how many does Rowand have, oh yea thats right 8, and he has a worse BA. and then u can use the 'he played less', well wouldnt that mean he would have a better BA?
and fourth off, WERE STILL IN FIRST BY 12.5 GAMES!

howard needs to get better at fielding since when is delgado such a great fielder?? he is average at best. not saying howard betta overall or even in fielding but he doesnt have to be that good of fielder to be betta than delgado.

Look at all the diving catches Beltran has made, thats why when the Mets got him they moved a two-time gold glove Center in Mike Cameron to left field so Beltrsn could play CF. Beltran has much better range and a better throwing arm than Rowand. You guys just fell in love with him because he made one spectacular catch. If he hadn't broken his nose and had bloody spew on his jersey, it wouldn't have look AS good, but great none-the-less.

Oh and if Fasano is such a good guy, then why did he try to spike Jose Reyes twice in one game, for no reason. Hes a chump

I agree, but I meant to say in the NL because I also wouldhave included G Matthews JR. Theres no doubt Hunter is the best CF in the game right now, but sometimes hes a little overhyped because he robs so many home runs. He has only a slightly above-average throwing arm.

Thank you for proving my point. I said The Mets dominate the Phillies inn every position except for 2b. That does include Future Hall-of-Famer Carlos Delgado who has only half the errors (6) that Ryan Howard has (12).

Sometimes they do. I went to a game at Olympic Stadium when the Expos played there, and we got 2 straight foul balls from Guerrero up in that area, although we were a little lower.

haha that is nuts to say Beltran is the best CF in baseball and to say that Andruw Jones might be close to him and that is a stretch is just crazy! Beltran is def. a good CF but Andruw Jones is the best fielding CF of this generation, he is this generations Willie Mays, just watching him catch a regular fly ball is fun to watch cause he does it with such grace and ease. And also Andruw Jones has a lot more range then Beltran, haven't you noticed how deep Beltran plays, he lets tons of bloops drop in, and the plays he makes running back is mostly do to how far he plays back.

I'm sorry but I've never seen Beltran let a blooper drop that could have been caught, and I'm talking his KC days too. I would agree with you about Jones 4 or 5 years ago, but since then hes "mysteriously" gained 45 pounds and doesn't have as much mobility as he did. He's still fast and has range, but hes not as fast as Beltran ask any scout and they'll agree

I am not trying to put down Beltran, but it is just a fact that Beltran plays deeper then most CF cause he has a difficult time going back on balls, and those bloopers that you say aren't catchable maybe could be if he played where normal CF's play.

Sorry JerseyJet, I wish we could get back on topic too, but this child insists on talking crazy talk.

The reason Beltran plays so far back, which isn't really that far two or three steps at the most, is because he has the speed the get the short ones, and the eyes to get the long balls. He also plays in Shea Stadium, one of the largest centerfields in baseball. Peter Gammons said that Beltran is one of the best up and down CFs in the game. You arguments are petty and obviously show your lack of knowledge of the topic at hand

Ok good point, you are right rolleyes.gif . So the best defensive player at there position always makes their team win? And Andruw Jones can't do anything about the fans not voting him in, but he was a reserve on the All-Star game. It is all about opinion about who is the better CF, you are a Mets fan so you are obviously gonna be bias towards Beltran. But when their careers are over Andruw Jones is gonna go down as 1 of the best CF's to ever play not Beltran.

P.S. And Peter Gammons also compared Nomar Garciaparra to Ted Williams when he was with Boston. Beltran is 1 of the best CF's in the game, I am just saying I feel that Andruw Jones is a better defensive player.

Andruw Jones 06 stats.

Who cares about individual stats. You don't route for one player. You route for your team. And if that team is doing good, than they have and impact players. Beltran is now in his prime and happens to be having a better season than Jones. So as I said, If you think that one of them is better than the other, take a look at the NL East standings.

What are you talking about? Earlier in this thread you were talking about how Ryan Howard is better then Delgado, Roward is better then Beltran and Utley is better then Wright, so if you go by your way to deciede who is better then all of what you say is wrong.

P.S. Sorry to ruin your thread, and I have another question for you, how come it is say FRONT ROW!! But then when they show the picture of where you are sitting it is in the upper deck?

Ahh, well have fun, and yea I think you have a chance of catching a foul ball, especially with a monster like Ryan Howard, I could sit out in the parkin lot and still have a chance of catchin a foul ball if he is hitting. And thats cool that you are seeing them play the Braves now you can see the best CF in the league play, haha j/k.
