Titans Reporter Wants To Interview Jets Fans For Story

This is what I sent to him in an email.I put some time and thought into it.I hope everyone is ok with what I wrote.

Nice to hear from you Gary.

Just to let you know we have no rivalry with the Titans so we really have no ill feelings toward the Titans. Us Jets fans respect what the offensive line of the Titans has been able to do. Them not allowing sacks is great and I am sure it makes Collins feel very comfortable in the pocket and has definitely been a big reason for his success.
However we also feel that the Jets have a very legitimate chance to get sacks in the upcoming because let’s face it the Titans have not faced a team with as many sacks in the year as the Jets. We may respect the Titans but we love our Jets and we want a win. We expect the game Sunday to be very good but we do think the Jets have a big chance of getting a win.
The Titans have a pretty hard end of schedule. The Jets do also. We feel that if the Jets can chalk up a win Sunday that the Jets have a very good chance of catching Tennessee for the number one seed.

Anyway Jets fans are very passionate about our team. We have to be because let`s face it …..it is hard being Jets fans with so many almost and so many disappointments over the years. We are very loyal though and especially on nyjetsfan.com. We blog all year about our Jets.
Basically fans here had mixed feelings on Favre coming here. His age and interception total had a lot to do with it.
Plus a lot of fans had a hard time letting Pennington go. Chad had a problem with velocity on his throws that tended to kill the Jets a lot and it was hard to come back from deficits with him but he was the ultimate competitor and he gave his body for the game so Jets fans loved him. It took us a long time but finally last year little by little we started to realize it was always going to be up and down games and seasons with him and he was never going to get the Jets to the big game.
As far as this year is going. We feel great after last year`s 4-12 season. The Jets have weaknesses but more and more each week the team is becoming a lot more solid. The first half of the year the team had some serious offensive line issues. This was getting Favre hit a hell of a lot. Jones was getting stuffed most of the time also. Favre being the competitor that he is would try to make plays on his own and threw the ball a lot while scrambling. Some great plays happened but also a lot of interceptions were racked up. Some fans were blaming Favre and some were blaming Jones and some were blaming the line. I myself blamed the line.
The last four games the offensive line seems to have been gelling and has become really solid. Favre is playing very well and interceptions are down. Jones is also running very well. Some of us still have some issues with Jones not being able to break open field tackles but we all respect that he is tearing it up on the field and as put up very good numbers for the year as a whole. Right now Jets fans are really happy and optimistic. We are however still guarded because we are used to let downs with this team.
What Favre means to us as Jets fans is finally we have a great HOF quarterback again. There have been some good quaterbacks on the Jets and some bad and some decent ones that have had good years here. But since the days of the great Joe Willie Nameth we have not been treated to a quarterback that has been truly great and it is actually a weird feeling. We don’t know how to take it. Even in the short time he has been here we have seen the Favre magic many times. Favre has made some jaw dropping plays. Jets fans really love him here. I don’t think any team in the league wouldn’t want him on their team.
We feel that with the General that Favre is and the way this team is playing we may finally have a chance to see this team in the big game again. We are basically stoked.
Our only fear is that Favre won`t play next year. We realize it is near the end but we are hoping he will stay here at least two or three years. We don’t know what we have in Clemens and Ratliff and we really don’t want to find out unless we have to.
