Hey guys.

I'm considering to be a ball boy for my local minor league baseball team, Trenton Thunder, AA afiliate of the yankees. How much do you think they would pay and how old do you think you have to be? I'm 12.

Well you do need to get older, shoot at 14 as Smallguy said but I ain't any expert in that sort of category, but I just read the memoir of a 16 year old who wrote a letter to the Yanks about a Bat Boy job and got it. It's demanding work, but there's a bunch of fun in between. Try in a couple of years/

I dont know exact numbers but im pretty sure its not good pay at all. its not that great for major league ball boys and ud be part of a AA team so u just look at their situation and u should figure out wouldnt be that much. might add up if u did all the home games and saved though.

But like others said u have to be 14 to work in jersey and u still need working papers.

back to the breakdown though u have to figure the AA players only get $100 a week and the price of admission is what $10-$15, 20 at most. so that doesnt leave u much after the owner gets his cut and the managers and players and groundskeepers. so yea not a lucrative job my friend. plus a lotta long hours games can go to real late at night. Finally dont think u wanna be hanging round Trenton past midnight.

BUt you'll earn tips from players for doing them errands and demands, and at the end of the year they'll usually give big tips. But yeah, for night games, you'll be working past midnight and you'll have to go during school.

yea ive been to a buncha games and i know its not THAT bad but my experience living in bad towns lets me know even the "nicer" and "outskirt" parts of towns can be bad.
