Well isnt it a garuntee that the cowboys and lions play thanksgivin? so in one situation, your destined for a shitty game.
Seattle won the division last year, so they could not have seen this coming, kind of like how the Jets went 10-6 in 06, and then proceeded to suck in 07 because the teams were better than cupcake status.
The Lions are the Lions, always have been, always will be.

The Lions usually put up a good fight on Thanksgiving. But today they got f'd up. It just worked out to be two bad matchups. Usually the games are good.
“We know we’re better than you, we don’t give a f*ck if you know it or not, we don’t give a sh*t if you give us your best game, we’re gonna give you our best game and we’re gonna beat the f*ck outta ya. How’s that?”

The Titans game was out of control. We pissed them off and they took it out on Detroit.
But wtf was Jeff Fisher doing when he challenged a catch with less than four minutes on the clock? Bitch move. Up by 37, and he's doing that with the clock? just let the game end!
can't get too mad at the nfl tho. we played them last year when we had only two wins, and they destroyed us. shit happens.

With a new commissioner if Detroit doesnt get better in a few years it may change. It would suck as far as tradition goes but it is about ratings and games like this dont help them.It would be weird not seeing them though since they have been on Thanksgiving way more than anyone else.
Chicago isnt any better and Greenbay is worse on Thanksgiving.Too funny
Team Wins Losses Ties Win Pct
Detroit Lions 35 33 1 .515
Dallas Cowboys 26 14 1 .634
Chicago Bears 16 13 2 .516
Green Bay Packers 12 18 2 .375

I feel pretty badly for Detroit fans. The Lions NEVER get better and if they do it's only for an 8 win season followed by another season with at least 11 losses.
Sal Paolantonio commenting on the difference in the Ryan and Mangini atmospheres in the building:
"It's like going from Alcatraz to Dorney Park."

It is better to destroy than create what is meaningless, so the picture will not be finished.

Yep, cut the Lions some slack. This is it for them. It's like their very own mini me SB. I'm sure I saw that wee guy Vernon Troyer play on the DL for the Lions
