SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:08 PM) Me and my wife stayed at the Mirage but we had a rental so we just came and went, we only went clubbing on the strip. I didn't gamble a penny in those casinos
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 02:09 PM) I knew something felt off I had a lot more fun at some salsa cantina spot that had a deal on coronas as opposed to any of the higher end bars in the casinos
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:09 PM) The strip sucks. Unless you work there, anyone who lives in vegas never actually goes there. It's like Times Square
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 02:10 PM) Yeah the clubs were nice but all the bull shit and bars surrounding the pathways of the casinos were all some bull shit
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:10 PM) I found a shit load of ill strip joints about 20 min away and was just chilling there
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 02:23 PM) When I lived in Tucson I used to go to Vegas every year for Interbike. Never really liked it. Not my thing. Rather be in the mountains or on the beach or golf course. the people force handing those flyers are crazy sometimes.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:43 PM) damn near fell asleep in the jury box lol
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 PM) I hope the case drags on as long as it can...trying to minimize being at work as much as possible lol
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 PM) I am the opposite. I say right from the get go " If its gotten to this point they must be guilty
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:45 PM) I am gone in 15 minutes everytime
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:46 PM) The judge gave me crap once but I said I was unwilling to tell a lie
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:50 PM) lmfao
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) I come from a very political family so I dropped that card thinking that they would excuse me
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) I was called to jury duty in AZ after I moved to WI. When I said I moved to WI they said since I still had a AZ DL and owned a home there I had to come. So I said OK come get me nad bring me to the court house. (they are required in AZ to do so if requested). Needless to say I was excused.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) my grandfather was a high ranking judge in NY and so is my uncle currently

HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:52 PM) imagine they came and got you
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:52 PM) I would not mind doing it but 40% of my income is either commision or incentive based.

azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:53 PM) I would have been pissed.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:53 PM) yeah I dont blame you
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:53 PM) Although they would have to give me a hotel room and board for that
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:53 PM) my boss is up my ass about not accepting the money they give you
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:53 PM) at least on the days I have to work
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) said they'll find me and come arrest me lol
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) Could have been a mini vaca
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) Isnt it like $4 a day or something?
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:55 PM) I think in AZ it is enough for lunch or something
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:56 PM) $40 here in NYC
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:57 PM) per day
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:57 PM) What is that... Cab fare
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:50 PM) damn well should be
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:44 PM) WHERE SHOULD I GET DINNER FROM
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:55 PM) awesome analogy, makes a ton of sense

If bonds should have an astrick and his record is far from legit so is arron's old record. Why you may ask? If you have noticed...the record had been set in 3 different era's of baseball. Babe ruth got screwed and should be still far ahead of bonds in this chase and arron should have never owned it. for example if a ball hit a foul pole...it was considered foul...a homerun wasnt considered a home run unless it went into the bleachers...just not over the fence...pitchers were allowed to use forign substances for the "spit ball"....He also had less games to play per season. Back in his time home runs werent encouraged thus the proper rules for a homerun werent in place.

Arron on the other hand had all these new rule changes which encouraged he and the other players of his time to try and hit the homerun. Thus many of the homeruns arron hit would have never of counted for ruth. so maybe arron should have one of those nice big * next to his record as well. remember marris had an astrick next to his single season homerun record for a long while because he did it in more games.

And now tonight bonds breaks the record where it was more than obvious that as much as a 3rd of baseball and maybe even more were doing the exact same thing as he was doing. there werent any rules in place for steroids in baseball thus he wasnt breaking any of baseballs rules. it may be immoral but he wasnt breaking anything...he is a product of his era...just like ruth and arron were of theirs....

that is a great post and i especially agree with the last part about how he wasn't breaking the basball rules.

If something isn't a rule and someone does it to help him win, to me that's not doing anything wrong. Everyone is making Bonds the goat only because he is going to break the record. Why isn't everyone as mad at the other 3rd of the baseball players taht used steroids??? its only because Bonds is going to break the record. G.O.A.T Its pathetic that people would bad mouth Bonds when half of those people were watchiing him with amazement as he was hitting homeruns nowing that he was taking something. Now everyone wants to point fingers at him. Give me a break.

A Mets Fan Caught the ball haha. But this is a disgrace to all baseball a man PROVEN to use steriods breaks the record is a disgrace. Hank Arron's record got ROBED PERIOD. Babe Ruth And Arron are the HR Kings. I'm going to be A-Rods HUGEST supporter for the rest of his carrer bad or good i'm disgusted with this record breaking HR.
And that Pitcher from Wash acting soo happy for giving it up...
GO A-ROD f*** YOU BONDS you are not getting my props Steriod Drug using bitch

Maybe you heard something the rest of the world didn't. When did Barry fail a drug test? He said that he never knowingly took steroids, meaning either he did without knowing or he's not sure if he ever did. I thought you were innocent until proven guilty. Even I can come out with an outlandish statement and say I saw Jonathon Vilma taking HGH in my gym. Does that mean it's true b/c I said it? That's basically what all of you Bonds haters are doing. Pre-judging a man based on heresay.

This is for everybody on here it's spelled like this "CONGRATULATIONS", there isn't a "D" anywhere in that word.

Didn't he admit to "unknowingly" taking steroids? That pretty much proves it there now doesn't it.

The way McGwire handled himself before Congress was worse and more incriminating then what Bonds said. But lets face facts folks, Bonds is black and McGwire is white and racism still exists in this world and most likely on this site. I'm not talking about any member in particular either. I am white and even I can see what goes on this country, all of the negative treatment all minorities still receive is ridiculous and disgusting. So to say that most of the negativity surrounding Bonds is the fact that he's a black man with this controversy is not too far fetched.

Well as nonchalantly as you can say that is the thing that bugs me. Thats the whole reason why his record sucks. I'm not showing gratitude to some schmuck and thats just the way it is. Nothing impressive about it. It's amazing what training can do under steroid use and other illegal performance inhancers.

To each is own, if people are going to choose to praise him for it then so be it. Praise away!! I respect people who did it the right way. L.T's T.D record last year was special. Thats a special guy doing it the right way. Not this bag of sh!t.

How do you know L.T did it the right way? Just b/c there is no controversy. Do you work out with him? Do you watch what every record breaker in every sport puts into their body? There is plenty of performance enhancing drugs that they don't have tests for. To think that NFL, NBA and NHL players are excluded from this argument is ridiculous and ignorant. There are cheaters in every sport from bench guys to superstars and if you think different then you must think the clouds are made out of marshmallows. Nobody thought Michael Vick (The Golden Boy) was a degenerate low life until we found what he's been doing in his spare time. So why should it surprise anybody if some of our beloved Jets are cheating? Or Knicks or Rangers? I've just come to the conclusion that nobody can be trusted, but i'm not into sports to trust people. I'm in to sports b/c it's entertaining and I love it whether or not people are cheating.

Aaron didn't know how long it was going to take for him to hit that home run, why should he have to put his life on hold and follow Bonds around?

This has been an ongoing issue with Hank. He said it himself that he didn't want to be there. He seems pissed off at every interview. A lot poeple don't like Barry. Hank should remember when it was his turn to break Babe's record, he was also hated too in the worst way. Being on that big screen doesn't change a thing. Shameful. Support the brother. He'll regret not being there. I think its a little being a sour grape and the fact that Bonds used steroid to break that record. I beleive Barry used something. HGH or whatever. He should of been there in person. And where was Bud Selig. Another shameful act..BOOOOOOO!!

I agree with what you said, and how if you look at how McGuire is treated and how Bonds is treated its crazy. Part of that is because he is about to break Hanks record, but I find it very hard to believe that if McGuire were about to break this record there would be this much hate for him. And for the simple fact that steroids was not illegal in the sport when these guys were taking it. I don't even get why they are on a hunt for everyone who took it when it wasn't band from the sport when they were doing it.

I will say that just like we know that OJ did it, we can conclude from the evidence that Barry took SOMETHING. what that is I don't know. but he got bigger and stronger very quickly and it added to his HR power. But all this hate for him when there were so many that were doing the same thing at the time is outrageous. I didn't see everyone as mad at Marriman when he was sacking QB's all last year then tested positive. its ridiculous. And the worst part if, IF Barry did take steriods and didnt' know it was steriods, all this judging of him is really unfair.

I got a suggestion. How about we all take this topic over to newyorkfanatic.com. If I could ghost this topic over to the site I would. I see this is going to be being a long thread.

You're right McGuire wouldn't be hated as much if he hit 756, but its because he's white, because McGuire also an asshole. so please. its partly because he's black and partly because he's an asshole. you think that color has nothing to play in this? you have to open your eyes to everything around you. now I know it isn't the major part of it, but some peoples hate for him is fueled by the fact that he's black also.

iagree.gif

Why the hell is race ALWAYS being brought up in these controversial issues. First Bonds, then Vick. You can't criticize someone without getting race carded. Everyone realizes there are racist people in this world and I'm sure there are people that hate Barry Bonds merely because he's black. But if you think racism is limited to blacks and whites you're mistaken and have a limited scope on what's going on in the world outside of America.

This issue has nothing to do with race and everything to do with Barry Bonds being the biggest prick in professional sports and having cheated his way into baseball infamy. I can't see any place in that sentence for, "Oh yea, and because he's black." People give Mark McGuire shit too. They've ruined their name and neither will get into baseball's HOF. If Pete Rose can't get in for gambling, there's no way in hell they can get in because they're cheaters. It has nothing to do with race.

Take note that whats interesting is Barry Bonds is about the same size or smaller than many of the players in the NFL. Does that mean all the NFLers are on steroids too? Or is Bonds only on steroids because he plays baseball and not football?

Marijuana is against American law too.....I guess that means alot of NFL statistics should be wiped clean because its an illegal substance.

So ur saying race has nothing to do with this issue? That's ridiculous and ur just very uninformed my friend. By the way, just b/c the media portrays Bonds as an a-hole doesn't mean that's how he is. Ur a puppet to the media just like many other people in this world. I'd rather meet somebody in person and decide for myself. I have a brain, I might as well use it.

Change in federal law may affect potential Vick case

SURRY COUNTY

Under federal law, dogfighting was a misdemeanor when investigators searched NFL quarterback Michael Vick’s property on April 25 .

Eight days later, President Bush signed a bill that made it a felony.

As far as I know you get a misdemeanor charge when you do something against the law. There goes your argument.

This issue might not have anything to do with race when u made ur decision on it but for alot of other people it does. And to think in this day and age that race doesn't matter is idiotic. By the way the Vick issue isn't even comparable to this issue. Vick beat and slaughtered dogs, Barry Bonds hurt peoples feelings by "allegedly" taking steroids. I say allegedly b/c I don't remember him failing a test. Even the NBA ref gambling allegations are worse then the Bonds stories. The media is full of crooks themselves and they'll do anything and say anything to sell their paper. Also, there has been about 400 people on t.v today saying they'll vote for Bonds as a first ballot HOF'er. Plus Pete Rose admitted taking amphetamines while he played does that mean he wouldn't be a HOF'er if there was no gambling issue. Amphetamines weren't banned in baseball then but they were illegal, sounds just like the Bonds case.
