ANOTHER BOMBSHELL: BUCHANAN SAYS VICK FIGHTS DOGS

In a Friday afternoon interview with our buddy Steve Duemig of 620 WDAE in Tampa, Chris Landry of Fox Sports Radio said that former Atlanta Falcons defensive back Ray Buchanan told Landry on the weekend of the NFL draft that Vick is directly involved in dog fighting.

Said Landry of his discussion with Buchanan: "He tells me that Michael has been into this dog fighting for so long that . . . .he not only knew about, he is behind all of it, he's paying for all of it. . . . Apparently, he's into it big time."

Landry also said that Vick was actively recruiting teammates to become involved in the "sport." The audio of the Landry interview can be heard right here.

Buchanan was a member of the Falcons for the first three years of Vick's career.

It'll be interesting to see what Buchanan has to say when someone calls him up in response to this item.

You can't convict someone until proven guilty, but in this case, I totally believe that Vick is behind this operation...we're not talking about a few dogs here...we're talking about a kennel size operation and it takes big time bucks for that. See ya Vick! Another stupid football player who is pissing his God given talent to the wind.

hell yea! iagree.gif
when will these NFL players learn that there are consequences to their actions. vick has all the talent to do great things, but is just to dumb to follow the rules.

As a dog owner who loves his dog deeply, as well as other dog loving members such as crazyhorsedave, I'd like to put a face on this issue so people without pets can better visualize what we're talking about here.

The thing that kills me is that all dogs start out the same. Naturally loyal. They become what thier owner teach them to be. So if you treat your dog humanly, you'll have a little family companion for life, who will play with you kids, protect your home, truly "man's best friend.

Do you get it? Seen Enough yet????

In Vick's case aparently (I agree with nightstalker, I personally believe he's guilty) he's one of these monsters who train and raise dogs to fight. Their dogs fight to the death cause in their minds their defending their masters, which ties into their tremendous natural loyalty. I wonder if anyone here will still think highly of him after this.
Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

I did have 2 dogs who did pass away when I was really, really little, but damn, those pics say it all. I can't speak for anyone else here, but I actually never really thought highly of Michael Vick anyway, and this doesn't really help.

Yea I happen to be an animal lover myself. Personally I'd rather see Mike Vick look like that then those dogs. People don't realize that they are living animals with feelings as well as a heart beat. They have all of the emotions us humans have. They feel sad, happy, grumpy all the feelings we feel. Another thing that pisses me off about this is I would expect this type of behavior from some kind of scum type person. Not someone who is making multi-millions of dollars and is trying to flip his millions in a dog fighting cage, risking the lives and well beings of these dogs. Fvckin' sad!!!!

I have a story to tell. My friend had 2 pitbulls and they were the most mild mannered dogs I've been around. They were so gentle and lovable but they would literally kill anoyne that was trying to harm my boy Dave. Anyhow, he had a black pit and a brown texas-rednose (beautiful dogs). In my area there is a pitbul law and their not allowed because of the people that raise them to fight and the attacks and want not. Anyways... he was walking his dogs on their leashes of course when he pulled up to the corner. He was talking on his cell phone and didn't know that his one dog was leaning off the curb a bit. (the dogs feet were still on the sidewalk but his head was sticking out on to the street. Some jackass was driving by really close to the curb.. (could have been on purpose... no one knows). The car slammed into his head causing instant death and because of the law he wasn't supposed to have them but he had them before the law was put in place so he could call the SPCA or anything. It's about a half a mile away from his house. The other dog that wasn't hit was yalping continuously because she knew the other dog was hurt. With the dog lying there with only a few more breaths in him my boy picked him up and carried him a quarter mile home were he put his dog in the tub until he could settle down and wash the blood off him and his dead dog. It was a busy street and not one person could stop and help the guy. He still had his one dog on his leash and his dead dog in his arms and not one person could help him. He wrapped his dead dog in his dogs favorite blanket to sleep on and dug a good size whole to bury him and that was that.

People love their animals and animals love people right back but to have idiots like Vick doing this makes me sick. Alot of people consider their pets family. Let's put one of Vicks children in the ring with a pit and see how he likes it. I'm sorry but this is in poor taste for Vick. Suspend if proven innocent if not ban or whatever but the NFL best not sleep on this issue and dish out proper punishment.

Michael Vick needs to die for this kind of bullshit. Seeing those pictures that BLC put up made me tear up. I have a 9 year old miniature Schnauzer myself, just imagining him looking like that hurt.

Vick is a pure piece of shit. If this guy doesn't go to jail for this, I hope Goodell or the Falcons owner nails Vick to the wall for this. What kinda scumbag raises dogs to kill??? In the human race's early years of existance arguably stayed due to the dog, the dog was able to allow humans to herd animals, yet stay loyal to their owners. No human has any right to abuse their dogs, or any pet, for that matter.
As you all know, I've got a mini poodle, and while the thing is kinda gay looking, he's a phenominal pet and as good of a friend as their as. If anyone laid a bad hand on my little poodle, I'd pound their ass into their face, and someone should do the same to Vick.

That's some hardcore pictures there Blue. A picture says a thousand words.... in this case, a thousand emotions.

Absolutely horrific.

Not to downplay this situation because Vick is a scumbag but most dog fights aren't to the death and only last a few seconds before one lays down and submits and the owners seperate them. (if the dog doesn't submit immediatly because the dogs only fight a few times before they are caged for breeding) The owners are the ones that kill them (usually by electrocution) after the fight because after a loss they are useless to them. Like I said I don't mean to downplay it but it shows what kind of scum the owners are. Not only do they abuse and drill their dogs to near insanity but if they don't pay off they are executed and tossed out like garbage. I only know this stuff because of the constant news about it in my town from humnae society ads.
