Don't go making changes to put a 5th starter up against your #1 so you can squeak out a win. Our #1 vs. your #1 was a win for the Mets.

that was a cool idea Ron, but I did one of my own, the 1908 Yankees vs the 1962 Mets.....the two teams franchise worsts.....and, since the Mets were a little more worse, I made the Yakees picther the #5, and the Yankees won 3-2

Yo!
Not even close, '98 our boys won 125 games w/ a greta pitching rotation and a relentless offense. '98 Yanks win like 12-2, lol.
Adios!

I'll say. The 98 Yankees were arguably the greatest team ever, the '86 Mets won with some luck.

You weren't even born yet. You have no idea how much magic and heart that team had.

I understand. But come on, if Bill Buckner wasn't there, who knows. Now sure, the Sox bullpen collapsed, but still, Buckner would make that play any other day.
And the '98 Yanks had heart, and magic, and they had me pulling for them

you must remember, The mets had already tied the game before the Buckner play. When the mets did tie it ,The whole baseball world knew it was over . Even before the infamous buckner error.

You can't say that. Who knows how his replacement would have done? You can't base the series on one play, one bounce of the ball. That's like saying what if Mookie hit a line drive over his head instead? The bottom line is the 86 Mets won and were one of the best teams ever in baseball.
The Mets in the 2000 Series had no real chance, especially after Piazza went into a fetal postion against Clemens ruining any chance for the rest of the series.

Yea, thats why I hate everyone blaming Buckner, they all say, if Buckner made the play, the Sox woulda won, odds point that the Mets woulda, they had the momentum
