Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:32 AM) right
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:48 PM) New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will face a lawsuit for allegedly shooting a man after an altercation at a Miami strip club.

TMZ.com broke news of this stunning development, as the lawsuit was filed in Florida federal court on Wednesday—five days prior to authorities searching Hernandez's Massachusetts home for an apparently unrelated homicide case.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 02:41 PM) A well-placed source told Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch for ESPN.com, that Revis paid safety Mark Barron $50,000 to get the No. 24 from the second-year safety.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 04:06 PM) I've watched about 3 minutes of ESPN today and have already heard the word "headband" twice.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 04:13 PM) yea i'm going to get hammered
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:29 PM) that left side of japan is no joke
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:33 PM) damn that was so karate
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:45 PM) http://i.minus.com/iqVziQ4MnbBdg.gif
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:57 PM) James Gandolfini passed away
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:58 PM) he was 51, suspected heart attack
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 07:01 PM) I guess that means no soprano movie
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:14 PM) he was also a JETS fan
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 07:46 PM) That's a surprising death but him dying of a heart attack is not a surprise.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) Anyone had him in the pool?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:16 AM) nope

If you collect baseball or football cars, what are your favorites that you have?
For football:
2004 Upper Deck Jonathan Vilma rookie card
2004 Upper Deck Chad Pennington Master Printing Plate. (1/1)
1999 Upper Deck Daunte Culpepper rookie card.
2002 Upper Deck Laveranues Coles (He's in a Jet uniform and celebrating a TD). yahoo.gif
2003 Topps Anquan Boldin rookie card.
Unfortunaly all other Jets are in bad photos or I can't find them, and that Pennington card isn't a card, it's like a metal thing.
For baseball:
2003 Upper Deck Bernie Williams.
2005 Upper Deck Hideki Matsui.
2003 Upper Deck Rocco Baldelli rookie card.

OO, I was waiting for someone to ask this, I love baseball cards, and I must say I have a pretty little set going, but first for football, it has to be either my autographed Chad Pennington college card(I bought it for $2.50 before they even drafted him)

But for baseball, I have been trying to get a set together, one original baseball card of a Hall of Famer for every ten-year span starting with 1900, here it is-

1909 T206 Gold Border- Tris Speaker
1916 Spalding Honus Wagner/Tris Speaker
1921 StripCard Dazzy Vance
1935 Batter-Up Mel Ott
1940 PlayBall Chuck Klien
1959 Topps Stan Musial
1969 Topps Mickey Mantle
1973 Hank Aaron

Great set, hard to get, happy I got it!!!

MY DEAR GOD! Where do you find those at the amount they'd sell for? But don't you collect modern cards of guys like Jeter?

Well I Find good deals in lucky ways, like the Tris Speaker, its worth about $1,000, but I only Paid $30, cuz I got it on EBay, and the guy who sold it listed it as " Trs Speakre card" And I always spell stuff wrong just to see, and stuff like that

I don't really like modern cards, cuz their not a great investment, but I do like to get any Cal Ripken Jr. Card I can, I have about 450 different ones and counting

Nice little plan you got there. What do ya mean not good investments? It took a couple of years for those cards to get $. And don't you buy packs.

My two favorites are my Derek Jeter rookie card from '92, I believe it's Upper Deck... and my Michael Jordan wearing #45 from Flair... I wish I did have some of those old time cards... and I would love to sell 98% of the thousands of cards I do have... I'd rather have money now... but I don't wanna go through EBay... so my options are limited.

I actually went through most of the boxes of cards i have, and i found some damn good rookie cards. I like to check these boxes every year or two, liek i bought a few topps packs in 2002, i looked thru them, noticed nothing special, then 2 years later i check them out (yesterday, actually) and i find 2 carl crawford rookies and a rookie card with both mark tiexeira and hank blaylock, which i got excited about lol. But here are some notable rookies i found....
Larry Walker (topps)
Todd Helton (topps)
Andruw Jones (Topps)
Mark Prior (upper deck)
Manny Ramirez (donruss)
Manny Ramirez (topps draft pick card)
Ty Law (classic)
Marvin Harrison (fleer)
Steve Mcnair (upper deck)
Derek Jeter (classic)
Zach Thomas (score)
Ray Lewis (topps)
Pedro Martinez (upper deck and topps)
Sammy Sosa (topps)
Tom Glavine (donruss)
Roberto Alomar (donruss)
Alex Rodriguez (classic)
Mike Lowell (upper deck)
Vlad (topps)
Jason Kendall (classic)
Jim Edmonds (topps)
Roy Halladay (upper deck)
Brett Favre (upper deck)
Bartolo Colon (topps)
Greg Maddux (topps)
Jason Giambi (pinnacle)
Danny Graves (topps)
Orlando Pace (upper deck)
Adrian Beltre (Upper Deck)
Amare Stoudemire (fleer)

not to mention i have tons of 2nd year cards and regular cards of stars.

I have a few more boxes to go through, if i find anything notable i put it up here

I got a Blalock rookie and Texteria rookie too, also 2004 UD Sean Taylor rookie. I aslo have 2003 Topps Carson Palmer, Kyle Boller, and Dewayne Robertson.
2005 Upper Deck football is coming out early, July 29. Usually UD football comes out late August to mid September. Anyone know when 2005 UD Baseball Series 2 comes out? I have all the stars from series 1.
One more thing, am I the only one who noticed that 2004 Upper Deck messed up Wayne Chrebet's stats? They said in 2003 he had over 600 yards, in reality he didn't even ave 300.

OH, Great topic!!!!

I can't remember the years, but these are some of my best baseball cards!

Ernie Banks
Hoyt Wilhelm
Ted Williams
Jackie Robinson
Warren Spahn
Nolan Ryan rookie
Complete sets from 78-81-the thing is...these sets were put together and not bought as complete sets. Back then, that was possible.

I have a bunch of others, but I can't remember all of them

I'm only 26...although I probably shouldn't be posting in Juinor Jets baghead.gif

But my older brother was really into baseball cards and collected the ones I listed. I only colected them for about 6 or 7 years (86-91) and have some pretty good ones myself. But nothing compard to them. Too bad most of them aren't in great condition.
