Jetsfan115 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it

The Jets have reportedly "cooled" on free agent CB Corey Ivy.
The Jets may have hoped to get Ivy for cheap based on his relationship with Rex Ryan. Ivy likely would prefer to go somewhere he could compete to start.Source: New York Daily News Related: Jets

With the addition of Leonhard.....we have our guy in the secondary who can help teach Rex system. Ivy would be a luxury at this point.....

And who knows.....we may be able to get McCallister or Rolle on the cheap much later. Both I would rather have over Ivy

Call me crazy but between Revis, Sheppard and Ahmad Carroll, we got three former first rounders playing CB for us. Also, Lowery was deemed good enough to start at one point last year so I think with or without Ivy, we have good depth back there.

I doubt that either Poteat or Drew Coleman will fit into Rex's plans...just a hunch. That is why I really would like them to sign Ivy...he knows the defense Rex runs and that has to go a long way. That alone makes me want to put this forum on one day, and see that we sign him...

I'm from the school that you never can have enough CB's...especially one's that already are familiar with the system...

I see your argument Leon, you can never have to many quality corners. But I do think Ivy would just be a luxury at this point like Timmy said. We have Revis, Sheppard, and Lowery who could hold it down if they had too. But I fully expect to draft another CB. If Ivy signs, that's cool but we don't really need him at this point.
