Workout Supplements Creatine

I currenty just take whey protein after my workout (2 scoops at 48 grams total) and i`d like more result and bulk up and decided on creatine. i`ve been doing some research and NO-XPLODE looked good until i recently discovered there being sued for false advertisement and have a high caffefine content in it that will keep you up all night (i work out at night). so does anybody have a name of a pre-workout supplement that can help me bulk out?

Remember that creatine just builds up water retention, therefore if you don't keep working out after you've gained considerable muscle mass you start to look saggy.

I haven't worked out in awhile so I'm unaware of the good stuff out there but I really like creatine. If you want size my friends thats good and all but you need to LOAD UP on carbs. It's nice to have Whey and creatine or Gludomine but you have to CARB up.

I remember reading about this supplement that has just came out that is supposed to kill lactic acid build up therefore you'll be able to do and lift more. Ask around about it!

If you're serious about it then whey,creatine and load up on carbs is the way to go. I thing I learned from old gym teacher is highschool was to suck on a vitiman C tablet while working out. If gives your body it's much needed sugars but all of these are little tricks of the trade. Go to a well known nutrition store/supplement store and learn about which brands of creatine are the best and you'll be well on your way.

Creatine is fantastic. If you have a regular amount of it everyday as long as a loading phase on workout days it helps your body convert ATP which has long lasting effects. However, it also allows more water to enter your muscle's cells, so if you load alot and only work out in spurts, then you'll evtually turn saggy.

Try this: Along with the two scoops after your workout have 50 g or more when you wake up that way your body isn't using energy stored early in the day. All that added protein might make your shits a little hard but they soften out after awhile. Basically take your fiber, protein, and creatine and hit the weights 8 hours a week


EDIT: Meant to say 5gs not 50 woops. And only do that if you aren't already taking supplements...see below

f*** the combination shit, get straight up creatine monohydrate. The creatine based mixes are not entirely made of creatine, so they jack the price up on a supplement that has the same vitamins as One a Days and less protein than your 42g Myoplex.

Monohydrate is the easiest to find and the fastest ATP converter, but the other creatines (anhydrous,malate, and alpha-ketoglutarate) have the same essential effects.

Here's what I do, which works for me because Mass Food Stamps pay for my Myoplex:

- Half a Myoplex (21gs of muscle forming protein) at breakfast with a half teaspoon of crea-mono (less than 2 gs)
-At least 20 grams of protein at lunch
-At least 10 gs of protein at dinner, carbo load on lifting days. (Do not go super heavy on carbs on none liftng days or else you become more fatigued)
-If I lift then a teaspoon and a half (7 grams) of creatine mixed into a sugary beverage 20 mins before lifting. I don't care what the directions say, do not mix in water, sugar promotes ATP conversion, White Grape juice works well. I usually use Gatorade or a Monster if I'm tired. Make sure you finish the entire glass/gatorade/can-o-monster at least 10 mins before you lift so the Creatine can get a head start in your blood stream. Then as a rule for every thirty minutes you spend lifting, drink one bottle of water. So if you work out an hour and a half drink three bottles of water. It goes by fast if you do a rep, drink water while resting, do a rep, drink etc.
-Then I chug a Myoplex (42 g of protein) within the 30minutes after I lift.

It's hard to get used to because you fill full all the time but eventually that goes away. When I drink a half a myoplex I usually put the cap back on and save it for the next morning.

I may not be the biggest dude, in between seasons I lose a lot muscle, especially if you have a case of mono, but my core strengths like Vert(32'') and leg press/squat(285) usually stay the same. Since I have never really been upper-body strong, that's what the majority of my lifting has been, though you don't want to over wok muscle groups. I go 5 times a week, but never do I work the same groups two days in a row. That's a good way to hurt yourself, hope that helps.


P.S. When I run out of food stamp money for myoplexes I have an auxilary jug of whey which i use as substitution for the morning 21gs and the post workout 42gs

thanks think im going to try that out and subsitute the Myoplex for the Whey Protein i now take. do you still reccomend i take 48 g of protein in the morning or should i only do 1 scoop? but as far as the creatine monohydrate goes which one of these looks the best value/performance wise?

Unless you wanna shit your pants during the day. remember all the protein you ahd the night before (no homo) is still in your body that's why you should only take 21 or so grams.

Sorry I didnt post sooner on this but I was just searching around the site and saw this posting.

Here is what I have to say.

Creatine is nice and all and yeah it works pretty good because I used to take it while I was in high school. Anyway, I stoped taking it because I found out that it only makes your bigger muscle wise but does NOTHING do your joints. So, as time goes on, your joints are strong enough to keep up with your muscle so I would suggest if you play sports not to use it. It makes you injury prone and I had to find out the hard way lol. I played football and basketball in high school and now I have really bad ankles because of well i used creatine to get better and I never got my ankles fixed when I should have cause I didnt want to miss any games so i just wrapped them during games and just didnt practice lol. Now, everytime I want to go play something I have to wrap my ankles or else I will either sprain it again or brake it again. Its not fun. Anyway, thats my 2 cents on creatine. i would stay away from it.


What I would suggest is to use Muscle Milk. I love it and it works GREAT. I have stopped working out since I dont have time anymore but when I was I was working out almost everyday and would take muscle milk before and after my workout and I got big pretty fast. I think in about 2 months I gained almost 10 pounds. Its awesome stuff

When I started working out and using muscle milf, I was like 150 pounds or so and could only bench maybe 170 max ( 1 time ). After about like I said, 2 months.. I was at around 160 pounds and I maxed at 205 ( 1 time ). I think I could have even gone higher cause I started with light weight and worked my way up so I was pretty tired and plus, i did 200 twice right before.

Anyway, use Muscle Milk. Thats the only thing I would suggest using!! ( this makes me want to start working out again )

Oh, one more thing about muscle milk. Make sure you only take it on days you work out cause if your taking it and not working out, then you will get fat. Thats the only thing I would worry about with Muscle milf. It will make you fat if you dont work out cayse it has tons of carbs.

Dude, if you're trying to bulk you need to eat alot of protein and I'm not talking about the powder. You just need to bulk the hell up on healthy foods. Eat a dozen eggs and drink a gallon of milk a day and you'll bulk up without supplements. That crap just makes you look bloated and when you stop working out you look fat and disgusting everywhere. I subscribe to the philosophy that "There's no quick fix. Quality takes hard work and discipline." It's especially true with body building.

The problem with MRPs and bodybuilding is this: in order to gain mass, you need calories. There's no way getting around it. Whey protein is just protein, you need fat and carbs too. If you can't eat, you're better off going with Myoplex immediately after a workout. Have a scoop of whey right when you wake up.

If you want bulk, you need to count your calories it's tedious and gay but it'll get you results. Eat about 5000 on lift days and 4000 on rest days. You'll be an ox.

none of that stuff is really good for u. and i know for a fact creatine is bad on the liver. worse then drinking your ass off. most of the stuff u add to your body will be bad for it.
anything ur body produces naturally and the amounts is what keeps u healthy. altering that could have bad side effects. people need to accept there size. working out is good. but adding supplements is not. even protien shakes are bad cause there is too much of it. seriously. just speak to a nutrionalist and get on a good diet plan!!!! don't use supplements

I was doing Whey last year, I had the scoop in the morning and a scoop after I work out. I went from 180 to 220 by the summer, I weighed 180 at the end of the football season for me, which was in like November. I worked out 4 times a week. And did a Vanderbelt Work out schedule, that my coach gave out, my one coach played at Vanderbelt as the starting DT a year ago.

ive been really working on getting back into shape after dealing with alot of personal shit this will be my 2nd month back to the gym and doing mma(which is about a year 2months) my big thing is my diet cause once im outta my house at like 10am its a pain to make healthy choices. i use liberatone advantage protein and vitamins as well as cinamin cause both my mom gramma and great gramma have diabeties. so my question is whats the best way to make healthy choices and my workout sched looks like this advice is appreceated.
monday gym at like 10:30 lifting 10min 30/30s (30sec sprint 30 walk) mma(grappling usually) 530-7 tuesday gym 10:30 airdyne or exercise bike for like 15min
wedsday lifting 30/30 mma(striking usually) 530-7
thursday gym airdyne 15min
friday lifting 30/30s.
then once i get finished with my finals im be doing mma on thursdays which would be standup and probably tuesdays which will be ground fighting. anything else i should do i work back bi's, chest tri's, legs, then shoulders neck forerms more or less the little things that dont get worked much. oh and il be 16 in august im 6'0 168pounds

As to the liver thing. Depends on who you ask. When I was still pediatrician age I asked her and she said the amount of water you should be drinking with creatine dilutes it enough to where any digestive enzymes in your liver will convert it into waste and not bile, butttttttttt it's relatively new so we'll see. Creatine alone has done wonders for my abs. When I needed to harden my stomach for fighting i developed my tolerance in less than 4 weeks, as opposed to 6-8.

Just eat good, dont party, and lift heavy. It's pretty simple but as Americans we always want a shortcut. There aren't any. It's pretty simple really if you have discipline....

Exactly, taking all of that shit is weak, the only thing I ever taken was whey, and thats just protein, because I wasn't eating enough protein at the time. I now don't take anything, I just eat right and lift hard. I put up well in the 200s with bench, and I squat in the 300s, with a real squat bar, not the machine. I don't know my max, because I never try for max, I just go by reps. I lift 4 times a week.

That's cute. Is this a how much I can squat contest? Your what 280-290 lb? You're only squatting 300lb? I max like 315 and I'm 170 with chicken legs. It's like getting into a dick contest with a retard. You know your gonna lose, everyone knows retards have super human strength and giant units, so why even bother

I wasn't trying to get into a squat contest, I was just saying you don't need all that shit to get strong. And 300 isn't my max, I said I squat in the 300s, not 300. I didn't say my max, I don't do max, I go by reps. And I don't weigh 280-290, I weigh around 230. I played DE and DT, so I have to be fast to play DE, but I was big and strong enough to play DT sometimes. DE was my main position though.
