azjetfan Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:04 PM) my guess is if he does not restructure they will wait until they see what they can get in FA before making that decision.

azjetfan Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:05 PM) I cant wait until FA
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 March 2015 - 08:18 PM) The Jets actually have $55 mil in cap space right now, $65 once they release Harvin

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:22 PM) Kareem Jackson is a decent player, I would rather go elsewhere for CB though> He has been a streaky player, some bad seasons some good
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:23 PM) THE KNICKS
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:43 PM) @AdamSchefter: Filed to ESPN: Bills have notified LB Kiko Alonso he is going to be traded to Philadelphia for RB LeSean McCoy. Trade official next week.
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:43 PM) WOW. Rex is gearing up for ground and pound.
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) Jets can sign Spiller now but they're going to need a new LB. Rex is gunning for David Harris.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:44 PM) Jets should trade Harris to Minnesota for Minnesota for AP
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:44 PM) Throw in Ivory/Powell or a pick
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Damn they got Shady
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Do NOT give up Ivory
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Powell ok Ivory HELL NO
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:50 PM) Well that definitely opens the door for CJ Spiller to the JETS now that the Jills got Shady

Hobson is in the last year of his contract, and the Jets have to decide to go with a Wolverine tandem at linebacker(Hobson and Harris) or retain Vilma(who will demand a large contract in the coming years), and team him up with Harris.

Victor Hobson is not an OLB in the 3-4 defense.. plain and simple. He is too slow and too small. Hobson however, does have ideal size to play the ILB in the 3-4.

So why exactly cant Vilma be an outside LB? And also ..he didnt look slow when he was getting all those QB pressures.

Because Vilma is too small to play OLB, he'd get pancaked every time. He has trouble enough getting in the backfield with Robertson in front of him, (not that Robertson is a great NT) he'd never see the backfield if he has no one in front of him. Hobson should be moved inside, he'd be much better off.

So in other words you are saying he is too small to play inside backer and too small to play outside backer...

Interesting

Jets would be fools if they dont retain vilma he is an impact player, didnt have a year like rookie year because he was playing out of position now with harris they could put vilma back at weak side lb, expect a big year for the Vman. vilma and kerry rhodes are the foundation of jets defense, take one away it all crumbles down. vilma will be signed during season , mangini ia a genius, we should just call him mangenius.

if anything hobson is the one that should go not vilma, only thing i doubt any team is interested in hobson, now vilma everyteam would want him on team, hes a gamer did u even watch his rookie year, he will get the 3-4 down, hes a film hawk he watches alot of film with kerry rhodes and thats what makes him the Vman. all pro year and a ring for Vima and company. now with D. Revis jets are gonna be a force to contend with. running backs and offenses are gonna have nightmares the night be4 gameday, just thinking about harris &vilma in the middle. dam scairy isnt it.

Yeah enteresting , defensive rookie of the year, 113 tackles in a new 3-4 scheme and D Rob in front of him , led jets in tackles both of his profesional years , but according to you he's too small , thats a very interesting concept, makes you wonder how knoledgable some people are about about the nfl.

Closing...Evanston's suspended for 2 weeks so it doesn't make any sense to get into debates over threads like this.
