Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Baseball stadiums started doing this since right after 9/11
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) I used to go to Mets games as a kid with a subway hero
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Now I gotta drop $30 for a burger with fries
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Today, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Today, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Today, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Today, 12:32 AM) right
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 01:48 PM) New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will face a lawsuit for allegedly shooting a man after an altercation at a Miami strip club.

TMZ.com broke news of this stunning development, as the lawsuit was filed in Florida federal court on Wednesday—five days prior to authorities searching Hernandez's Massachusetts home for an apparently unrelated homicide case.
santana Icon : (Today, 02:41 PM) A well-placed source told Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch for ESPN.com, that Revis paid safety Mark Barron $50,000 to get the No. 24 from the second-year safety.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 04:06 PM) I've watched about 3 minutes of ESPN today and have already heard the word "headband" twice.
santana Icon : (Today, 04:13 PM) yea i'm going to get hammered
santana Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) that left side of japan is no joke
santana Icon : (Today, 05:33 PM) damn that was so karate
santana Icon : (Today, 05:45 PM) http://i.minus.com/iqVziQ4MnbBdg.gif
Chaos Icon : (Today, 06:57 PM) James Gandolfini passed away
Chaos Icon : (Today, 06:58 PM) he was 51, suspected heart attack
santana Icon : (Today, 07:01 PM) I guess that means no soprano movie
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 07:14 PM) he was also a JETS fan

Thank you Wayne "flashlight" Chrebet for finally putting us out of our misery and retiring. Your 2 TD's over 3 years and awesome 153 yard 2005 season, 397 yard 2004 season and 289 yard 2003 season shows us how dumb the Bradway era was. You are a part of a losing Jets tradition that never won any championships anyway.

Keyshawn Johnson was right..statistics do not lie! Flashlight!!!!!

Johnson: 9756 Yards, 60 TD's, 744 receptions, 1 Superbowl Ring! (active)
Chrebet: 7365 Yards, 41 TD's, 580 receptions, no Superbowl Ring (retired)

A real GM would have kept Keyshawn and cut Chrebet. I can't wait for the Wayne Chrebet "bobble head" days. But then again didn't we just see that the last 3 years anyway.

Chrebet probably should have retired last year, but hey he almost got us a win in that Chargers game last year.

It is a matter of productivity. Jets fans are used to players like Chrebet, Mawae, Testedverde and the rest of the lovable losers on teams that stunk up the NFL. Our team has never been great! We had 1-2 good years and won a Super Bowl. We flirted with success with Ken O'Brien in the 80's and Bill Parcells in the 90's.

So you guys hold on to your player favorites and continue to accept medicocre statistics. We keep Wayne Chrebet and sign Curtis Conway and let Keyshawn go? We keep Wayne Chrebet and let Santana Moss go?

How can anyone justify Wayne Chrebet still being on the team after say 2004....this money could have gone towards a primary receiver. With Santana Moss gone, Laveraneous Coles gone and back and Keyshawn gone a while, Chrebet is the only recever who stayed and was paid handsomely for stinking up the last 3 years.

I hope you guys never run a business, because you would all be fired!

Wow saying that Mawae wasnt worth the money, dude he is argueble the best center of all time. Its not chrebets fault we werent good. What QBs did we have? Besides Kevin Mawae what linemen did we have? We just had dumb coachs that didnt build a team, because chrebet was a good part of a team. You have no arguement because Chrebet was a good teammate, Johnson wasnt, he may have matured once he went to the Cowboys, but he wasnt a good locker room guy. Dont put Chrebet in these blaims of not being a great team, because it was coaching not a players fault. Because they did do the right move of keeping chrebet, he was a great teammate and a great player.

u relly too much on stats. wayne chrebet was the guy that made every big catch when needed thats why he was paid. he was neva meant to be a #1 receiever and he coulda scored more tds if given the ball more. hes proven it when he played with vinny and actually got the ball besides 3rd downs. but 3rds and 4th downs is his specialty cus he has great hands and runs good routes. he did his job of making the big play and he did it well. so all i can say to u fat man is why dont u go to hell. and last time i checked we got a lotta first round picks for keyshawn that were used for big players. so please do everyone a favor and leave now.

While i disagree with what he is saying since Chrebet was injured those last 3 years, him not liking Chrebet doesn't mean he's not a Jets fan. It's just not a popular view among Jetamong most Jet fans.

iagree.gif and although he said in such a bad way, there is SOME truth in what he said. I mean i love Chrebet. he's tough as nails, but i'm always the one who says that character is not the most important thing when it comes to football players. you want people with good character, don't get me wrong. but I'd rather have somenoe who is great on the field and does't really have bad character but doesn't really have good character. when the jets had to choose between Keyshawn and Chrebet, they should have chose Keyshawn, because hew as a great player at the time. he wasn't the best in the locker room or anything, but he always brought it when he got on the field.

Moss was turning into a bum. He started to cry like a bitch (Keyshawn) about his contract and started to play like shit. He would run out of bounds at the whiff of contact and was dogging it by his own admission on being upset over his contract. Give me a player with heart like wayne any day over a piece of shit like Moss or Keyshwan. True Moss has more talent and had a great year in D.C., but at heart he is still a dog.

wayne chrebet is a demi god of football!!! while he was never great, or a true #1, he was one of the NFL's most clutch performers. He was also a guide to consistancy with outstanding ability to get open and make great catches with his outstanding hands. he's not a meshawn player, o excuse me... keyshawn type player but he also never brought any of the distractions that keyshawn did. this guy came out of nowhere. last time i checked hofstra was not a hotbed of NFL success stories. Wayne was as fearless as they come. He literally gave up his body for the game and the fans. While he is not a star WR he certainly is a good if not great one that is in every Jets fan's heart. he will never be forgotten. Long live Wayne

That was cute. Chrebet, Mawae and Testaverde are part of a losing tradition, but were also integral in the Bill Parcell's era of the 90's where "we flirted with success."

Stumble into oncoming traffic.

We can't really blame Chrebet for thinkin he could still contribute as a #3 receiver. He got that last concussion and realized it was a wrap. It's not like we've had a viable #3 receiver that could've stepped in and made him useless. The fact that he went out of the league fighting was a testament to what he's done for this team. He was one of our most reliable receivers up until the last catch.

Ok, let me just warn everyone that this post will be very nasty, because nobody talks shit about my favorite football player ever and gets away with it....

It is a matter of you shutting the f*** up. You are the most incompetant poster I have ever seen post here. I actually give more respect to evanston then I would for you, because he at least is right at times, you on the other hand are a complete moron.

Ronny, please just ban this guy from the message board, before I really get too abrasive with this fool. One thing before I end this post though. Go to hell you fat f***.
