Oh boy, you look smart, pull out 4 stats that a toddler can find and you call Chrebet a piece of shit. Well you pathetic toddler, where in those stats does it talk about how they played the game???
Listen, it's such an easy equation. Chrebet came into the NFL has an undrafted free agent. The very next year, with the #1 overall pick, we take Keyshawn. Who is your go to receiver, the undrafted free agent making minimum salary, or the multi million dollar #1 overall pick??? Even the toddler knows who, you go to Johnson. So they did. But I don't think you ever grasped the true concept of Wayne's value.
In Keyshawn's 4 years here: He had 305 catches for 4108 yards, a 13.4 YPR, and added 31 TDs as a #1. Started 59 games and played in 62.
In Chrebet's 4 years as his teammate: 266 catches for 3422 yards, a 12.9 YPR, and added 17 TDs as a #2/#3. Started 26 games and played in 64.
Stats show Keyshawn is by far and wide better. No he's not. In half the stats getting probably getting 2 thirds to 3 fourths of the balls Johnson is getting, while starting not even half of the games Johnson did, Chrebet fell 39 catches, 686 yards, half a yard per catch, and 14 TDs short. Now keep in mind, Johnson had 33 more starts, which is 2 seasons worth of starts, so subtract 4 from 33 since Chrebet played in 4 more games you get roughly 29 games. In more 29 games, basically 2 seasons, Chrebet would've definetly posted 30 catches and 686 yards.
Now as for the TDs, it's also easy. Who do ya thrw to in the end zone, a 5-10 guy or the 6-4 guy??? The extra half of a foot will speak for itself.
But now you must ask yourself, how many times was a Chrebet 3rd down catch keeping that drive alive that would later get Keyshawn the TD??? Probably more than once, and that's gotta be a fact, because Chrebet got 379 catches went for a first down, which is 65% of is career receptions total.
Also, how many times did you Chrebet blow his mouth off and insult his teammates??? How many times did he go for the ball even if he knew he wouldn't get it??? Probably 100% of the time. And that's a stat you want every player on your team to have.
