I just think that it's ironic that someone lashes out at everyone when he had people on his side for an argument he started and knew would wind everyone up. Attention seeker plain and simple.
I was thinking though banning him might be harsh but it's a lesson I think he needs to learn. I am not angry at the Chrebet posts, he may have declined this last few years but how can someone labelled an over achiever really decline.? Wayne's story may not be the greatest ever either, but the moral is that if you put your mind to something and your heart is in the right place then you can achieve, it's the consumate local lad comes good story and that is why people love Wayne. Not just in football but anything in life if you want something bad enough you can get it, Wayne is a very public example of this.
The guy is basing his argument on tangible evidence and I can respect that, numbers don't lie. However bashing Wayne goes into the realms of toying with people's emotions and for that you have to expect a backlash. At the very least you have to expect people to not agree with you. Think of the person you admire most of all and then imagine that I am on this board ripping into that person calling them selfish and what not you would get mad, well for some people on here (admittedly not me) that perosn is Wayne Chrebet, it's not about football. It's about the man and it's about life.
P.S.
In a couple of years when Curtis Martin hangs em up I really dont want to have to write this out again so leave him alone please.

Relax sdubb, I only banned him for 30 days.
Sometimes members go at it with one another and people are called worse than idiots, and that's fine, it keeps things interesting. But no one has the right to just make sweeping inflammatory statements that blanket and group every member on the board. I can't just sit here and let him call all of us a bunch of dumb idiots for no reason.
"Nyjetsfan.com Members Are Idiots!" I mean come on. Is that necessary? For the record I happen to think we have the most well informed Jets fans on the net, and you really see them come out when the season starts. I mean, do you enjoy being called an idiot for no reason sdubb?

i happen to agree with blueline. this guy makes posts to get all of us pissed off and has no bases then never responds. it seems all he wants to do is oiss us off which is way different then someone wo contributes calling another memeber an idiot
