On The Daily Muscle.com blog there is an article called The Mental Influence Of Music At The Gym. The script goes into how music can dictate how your workout can go. I totally agree with this analogy. Even though music feeding the soul and lifting heavy weights tearing down muscle tissue really has nothing in common. Personally my training partner and I like to listen to modern heavy metal rock.











There is a small group of arm and chest lifters that just love to listen to AC/DC, Jackal and other senseless acts. They burn all these groups music on one CD and continued to play it every time. A guy can only take Jackal’s chain saw lick so much. After they left the gym after a tortuous session of wrist curls, my partner took the CD and broke it in half and threw it away.



Being elated knowing we would not be subjected to listening to this CD, we left the gym on a natural high. The next time we came to the gym the small arm/chest group was listening to another burned CD with the same crap.
