Azjetfan is the nyjetsfan #1 pick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He has more upside for a 7th rounder than anyone else
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He can start right away at RT
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:29 PM) He said he won't sign
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:32 PM) so he doesn't want to be drafted?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:33 PM) If Collins doesn't get drafted, he can't enter next years draft. He can only if he is drafted and sits out. So I guess he has to go undrafted
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) going undrafted makes the most sense for collins
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) but for teams, drafting him and dealing with his holdout makes more sense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:19 PM) Zac Stacy was traded to us for our 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) Jets also drafted a NT with our other 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) 6'4 330 DL who is very strong
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) zac stacy for a 7th
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) well can't complain about that
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:29 PM) So we have 4 rbs now
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:31 PM) still would have rather taken a runner on collins but i can't complain with depth
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:32 PM) i mean they can't expect to carry 4 rb though no?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:50 PM) Collins would have been a waste. He would not have signed. At least we have something to show for our pick. Worst case scenario is we trade or release one of our backs.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) I know it's hard to tell without seeing a win loss record yet but this regime seems really on point.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) For the first time in my life I can say I feel comfortable with the people making the decisions.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:57 PM) I was close with Parcells but he seemed like a short term fixer and didn't care about the long term
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) SUCK FOR THE DUCK
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) .......oh wait
santana Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:13 AM) Well that was a disappointment
Chadforpresi... Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:24 AM) I like getting Stacy for our 7th rounder, assuming he can handle the fact he won't be a feature back (yikes)
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:31 AM) I like the trade, hes a quality back and adds more depth to our backfield
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) Macc has pretty much killed it this offseason
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) He has turned this roster around, he has added talent and competition all over.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We still aren't great at QB, but our overall football team is good. We have a realistic shot at making a playoff run
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We may have the best defense in football. We have a great DL and secondary, that is gonna be tough on offenses when you can stop the run, pressure the QB, and blanket the receivers
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:23 PM) ok now it's time for this team to take all this talent and do something anything below a 10-6 season will be a disappointment
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:24 PM) the only still glaring issue is QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:25 PM) we got the WR problem solved, we got probably one of the best Defenses in the game and we have addressed the OL but QB will still be the glaring issue
Chaos Icon : (04 May 2015 - 09:34 AM) jets cleaning house
azjetfan Icon : (04 May 2015 - 05:57 PM) I'm excited about this year. Could be a good year for the Jets.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (04 May 2015 - 07:32 PM) weird how they cleaned house in the scouting department after such a successful draft and off-season so far
azjetfan Icon : (04 May 2015 - 07:36 PM) I assume they didn't bring much to the table
santana Icon : (04 May 2015 - 08:41 PM) Have to clean the table
santana Icon : (04 May 2015 - 09:08 PM) Fuck the rangers
santana Icon : (04 May 2015 - 09:08 PM) face off dominated holtby gtfo
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (04 May 2015 - 09:18 PM) La'el Collins is meeting with Rex Ryan tonight
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:31 AM) FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 05:41 AM) Damn that'd make up for the Bills not having a first rounder
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 10:59 AM) They didn't sign him yet. It's just a visit.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:49 PM) Uefa time
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 11:56 PM) Not sure if anyone saw this on the MSN home page but might be something worth looking into for the offensive line

What Do You Think Of Testosterone Replacements?

Q: Dear Will, I am a 62 year old male who found the bodybuildinglife style about ten years ago, so I started out a little late.My testosterone has been clinical low (under 300ng/dl) for thepast 3 years. I want to start hormone replacement therapy and I doctor agrees it would be a good idea for me. He wants to use standard testosterone enanthate. However, from my reading on thetopic, wouldn't a less androgenic steroid like Primobolin be better? Charles Linquest, Monroe WI, 53566

A: Good question Charles, and I will do my best to answer it.Though you may have started out later than some, it's never toolate to derive benefit from the bodybuilding life style! For your use, that is hormone replacement therapy (HRT), I wouldagree with your doctor here. Low androgen is not by default a good thing and the androgenicaspects of testosterone have many important functions on the malebody. For example, a recent study compared testosterone enanthateand methenolone enanthate (Primobolin) in men for HRT.

The study was called "Hormone replacement therapy for older menusing testosterone enanthate or methenolone enanthate. (Int JAndrol 2000 Jan;23(1):300-6)." As most people know, as men age, testosterone levels decline and is commonly referred to as"andropause." This slow steady decline in testosterone levels has a negativeeffect on mood, sexual performance, libido, bone mass, musclemass and the immune system.

Not good! Predictably, themedical/scientific community has taken an interest in HRT formen. Some doctors worry about possible adverse effects of HRTwith testosterone on the prostate, cholesterol levels, etc.

However, it's clear from the studies we have that this pointthat too little testosterone is just as bad for you, if notworse, than too much testosterone. The real goal of HRT with menis of course to keep testosterone in the optimal range, say themid to high normal range found in a young healthy male. That's approximately 500-600ng/dl but it can vary depending on which labyou use.

Ok, back to the study. In this study 100mg per week of Primobolanwas given via injection to 10 men aged 52-78 years old who were diagnosed as being low in testosterone (i.e. hypogonadal). Testosterone enanthate was administered at the same dose andfrequency to another group of hypogonadal men (n=9, aged 54-77years old).

Both groups got these doses for 8 weeks. The researchers looked body composition (measured by DEXA scan), mood(sense of well-being), sexual activity, libido, and check bothgroups prostates pre and post treatment.. They also looked at both groups testosterone levels, estradiol (estrogen) levels, andblood cholesterol levels. Interestingly, they didn't find significant changes in body composition (muscle mass, bodyfat, etc) in either group.

More important perhaps, the group receiving the Primobolan reported asignificant decrease in sexual activity and libido, and an increase in prostate size at the end of the study period, with a73% decrease in serum estradiol relative to baseline. Four weeks after the last dose, everything went back to Normal however, showing at least the effect was reversible.

Things went much better for the testosterone group, as they had an increase in sexual activity and libido with no adverse effects found onany of the tested parameters. The researchers concluded thattestosterone was clearly a superior choice for HRT in men withlow testosterone levels, which really should come as no surprise to people. Of course this study does not answer all questions, was not alarge study (though there are others), was low dose, and only ran8 weeks, but it does show that testosterone is not the big bad boogie man steroid the media would like us to believe it is and clearly has therapeutic uses for men.

It's interesting that neither group had any statistically significant changes in body composition, but its what most bodybuilders already know; you need higher doses to get that effect, and you need to lift some weights! Low androgen steroids like "Primo" have their uses for sure, but for older menseeking to get the benafits of HRT, testosterone is still king inmy view.
