Disrespectful my ass, they play to win, unlike from what I saw from USA. You have no proof what so ever of them "disrespecting" the game of soccer. You claim how they "dive", "whine", and "bitch". There is no way Italy plays dirty, both Ghana, and USA both had more fouls then Italy. So, that just proves to you that they are not even close to a dirty team.

Let's not use officiating as a judge of how the game was played because officiating in soccer is horrible, so let's move on.

I agree they do play to win and I guess by any means nessisary. They do play dirty and your the only person I've ran into that thinks other wise. I even have Italian friends who are proud of the way they play and admit they are dirty but for some unforeseen reason you think they don't.

anyone watch aus v brazil. If you did you would know that harry kewell would struggle to sleep, open goal and he missed, although we lost 2 nil, we didn't embaress ourselves. And i thought the refs were poor in that game too.

im sry to ruin the fun but i find this offensive, i am italian, my future girlfriend(if this works right, which i pray to god it will) is 100% italian and her father was born in italy. the first time when some1 said something about the italians flipping pizzas, i was offended but i let it slide, but now im offended. u act as if no one on this forum is italian. would u do this if we were playing an african team? or a mexican team?

Harry Kewell should have burried that. Sometimes though chances like that fall 'to quick' for players and come unexpetedly which happened there - 99 times out of 100 Dida the Brazilian goalkeeper would have caught the ball. Viduka also could have scored when he flicked the ball onto the top of the net over Dida. Australia were unlucky though and played well causing Brazil some problems - Brett Emerton was especially good IMO.
I thought the refs did alrite in that game but from looking at the stats Brazil had about 25 free kicks and Australia something like 9 which shows incosistency as Australia weren't a dirty team at all.
Overall Australia played well but Brazil's class showed in the end. The last Brazil goal came from Australia's desire for an equaliser and the scoreline flattered Brazil at the end of the day. I hope to see Australia get a result against Croatia and go through because they deserve it after that performance against Brazil.
