i dont see any reason that he'd cost less than thomas...and i highly doubt chicago lets him get away
#1 he didn't make the pro bowl
#2 he didn't have anything close to 10 sacks

we would have to pay him out the ass and at age of 30 its a risk......................all i care about is drafting woodely................briggs benefits from playing with urlacher and would have to go from 4-3 to 3-4 and players hate adjusting to new schemes when they had success in their old one

Yea I'm not big on Briggs because he's a 4-3 linebacker. I would prefer an experience 3-4 LB. A.Thomas would be nice but I know he'll come costly
We need to address a RB someplace. If we get Turner we could spend both 1 and 2nd picks on defense. Lamaar Woodley and that DE from Nebraska perhaps.

briggs and thomas play the same position. they both play a 4-3 OLB so i don't know where u get they play different from.
also finding a 3-4 OLB in free agency or draft is near impossible. u either draft a DE and switch him or sign a 4-3 OLB and hope he adjusts. most teams don't play a 3-4 in the pros or college. how many do?
pats
jets
steelers
chargers
browns
cowboys
and 4 are from the parcells tree from back when he had LT and did it with the giants

whatever you want to call him, a DE or an OLB, my point is that thomas is a pass rusher and briggs is a coverage linebacker the stats and watching games show this. thomas had all the sacks and briggs had 50 more tackles than thomas. id love to have either of these guys, but briggs is a cornerstone to the bears defense and as a young two time pro bowler i dont think theyre going to let him go. anyway, nose tackle, running back and offensive line , more so NT and HB are very shaky and will probably be addressed before a pass rushing OLB/DE. but as fans have been proved wrong time and time again, we have no idea whats going to happen
