Azjetfan is the nyjetsfan #1 pick
Smedsthejet Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:33 PM) Some depth on the line with the Harrison pick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:43 PM) I read the scouting report for Harrison, the scout said he has probowl talent but has a work ethic concern.
santana Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:10 PM) Who the hell is Bryce petty
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:20 PM) Tom Pettys brother
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) Jets should take Collins with one of their 7th rounders if there
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He has more upside for a 7th rounder than anyone else
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He can start right away at RT
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:29 PM) He said he won't sign
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:32 PM) so he doesn't want to be drafted?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:33 PM) If Collins doesn't get drafted, he can't enter next years draft. He can only if he is drafted and sits out. So I guess he has to go undrafted
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) going undrafted makes the most sense for collins
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) but for teams, drafting him and dealing with his holdout makes more sense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:19 PM) Zac Stacy was traded to us for our 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) Jets also drafted a NT with our other 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) 6'4 330 DL who is very strong
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) zac stacy for a 7th
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) well can't complain about that
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:29 PM) So we have 4 rbs now
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:31 PM) still would have rather taken a runner on collins but i can't complain with depth
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:32 PM) i mean they can't expect to carry 4 rb though no?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:50 PM) Collins would have been a waste. He would not have signed. At least we have something to show for our pick. Worst case scenario is we trade or release one of our backs.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) I know it's hard to tell without seeing a win loss record yet but this regime seems really on point.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) For the first time in my life I can say I feel comfortable with the people making the decisions.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:57 PM) I was close with Parcells but he seemed like a short term fixer and didn't care about the long term
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) SUCK FOR THE DUCK
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) .......oh wait
santana Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:13 AM) Well that was a disappointment
Chadforpresi... Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:24 AM) I like getting Stacy for our 7th rounder, assuming he can handle the fact he won't be a feature back (yikes)
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:31 AM) I like the trade, hes a quality back and adds more depth to our backfield
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) Macc has pretty much killed it this offseason
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) He has turned this roster around, he has added talent and competition all over.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We still aren't great at QB, but our overall football team is good. We have a realistic shot at making a playoff run
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We may have the best defense in football. We have a great DL and secondary, that is gonna be tough on offenses when you can stop the run, pressure the QB, and blanket the receivers
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:23 PM) ok now it's time for this team to take all this talent and do something anything below a 10-6 season will be a disappointment
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:24 PM) the only still glaring issue is QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:25 PM) we got the WR problem solved, we got probably one of the best Defenses in the game and we have addressed the OL but QB will still be the glaring issue
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 09:34 AM) jets cleaning house
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:57 PM) I'm excited about this year. Could be a good year for the Jets.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:32 PM) weird how they cleaned house in the scouting department after such a successful draft and off-season so far
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 07:36 PM) I assume they didn't bring much to the table
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:41 PM) Have to clean the table
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:08 PM) Fuck the rangers
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:08 PM) face off dominated holtby gtfo
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:18 PM) La'el Collins is meeting with Rex Ryan tonight
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!

i haven't heard of the last two guys but i like their size. bringing in guys that are robertson's size doesn't really make any sense

yes but i still don't over look size. as we saw towards the end of the season with robertson, technique can be taught and it will help greatly but it only goes so far. once the technique is down, the only thing thats going to stop a center and guard from moving the nose is 330 pounds of bulk and power. i dont know this guys build but if he can and is willing to put on the weight then LETS DO IT!!!! NT is our most pressing need this offseason.

when robertson was drafted he was billed as the next warren sapp. now he never lived up to that when we were running the 4-3 but now that hes a nose in the 3-4 he has no shot at pass rushing. his size and skill set really play towards a 3-4 end and im really excited to see what he can do there. if we found a big body in the middle and with ellis and robertson at end, i believe we'd have one of the better defensive lines in the league and that will greatly help our linebackers

he was excelling and was considered a top under tackle which is what warren sapp is, the year they played the chargers in the playoffs.......the next season teams collapsed on him because we lost fergeson and played a bunch of guys who dont belong in the league, he was also injured......but your right he would be a fine DE in 3-4 sort of like how seymour was moved from DT to DE in 3-4 and has had great success

Yeah we definitely need some fat boys to solidfy the run defense. We need a big, fat, sloppy Pat Williams type of NT. We also need a threat at OLB that the defense will have to account for every play. (I.E. Shawne Merriman?) If we gonna run the 3-4 then we need fat boys up front to keep blockers off Vilma. Our OLB's are serviceable but not protoype 3-4 LB's. As far as the secondary...I think they are just fine. A blistering pass rush out of the 3-4 will make any secondary look good.

"As is the case with Moses and Adams at defensive end, there is little doubt that Marcus Thomas (Florida) and Quinn Pitkock (Ohio State) are the premier senior defensive tackle prospects so far. Ironically, Thomas and Pitkock share very few similarities in terms of style of play. Thomas is a disruptive force with 18 tackles-for-loss the past two seasons, while Pitkock is valued more for his ability to occupy blockers and free up linebackers to make the big play. Pitkock is more consistent at this point but Thomas has greater upside."

6'3" 295 and a artical on espn says hes crazy
now this is on my wish list, looks like a 2nd or 3rd round guy.
btw that is not how you spell his name, it is with a C but you can not write that on here.

Remember this was B.Thomas first real year and at a new position. He'll be a beast next season. Coming off a 8 sack year this year. Keep Hobson but don't resign and get another OLB from someplace

Yea he did, he is just not listed with the team because he was on a practice squad type of deal, he is on our team though in some way or another, you will see his name pop up when mini camp starts.

Yea Bryan Thomas became one of the better 3-4 OLBs in the league. He is basically shut down on his side, he hits people in the backfield and blows plays up. He will only get better with experience. I dont think getting 10+ sacks this year is out of the question for Thomas.

Yea Pitkock would be good for us, I see him as a DE for the 3-4, he would fit nicely. It depends though, I really cant wait to see what FAs we pick up, this year is way less predictable on what player we will get with our 1st because we really dont have 1 major need. Pitkock is a 1st rounder though, atleast from where it stands right now, I would like to get Okoye if hes there, he is a really nice NT prospect who has tons of potiential and room to grow. Only 19 years old right now, was a 16 year old freshman. crazy.gif Thats insane!!!

I don't know man...Tui might be on the team in any fashion anymore. Like I said...you can't find him on any roster list on newyorkjets.com. Whether it be the IR list...the Practice Squad List...anything.

And he isn't listed on NFL.com...

Well I decide to look up some research on what happened to Tui and according to baamf of theganggreen.com remebers reading (according to) Jets Confidential, that the team came to an injury settlement with Tui Alailefaleula and then released him.

The post was in November..

Nice work...thanks for clearing that up...I'm a little too lazy for that. Haha...but I guess we can stop hoping Tui comes back. It sucks...because there really aren't any real good NT prospects in the draft or any guy's coming out in free agency. I suppose it's up to D Rob and Pouha now...
