Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.

They must be upgrading within right now. Gash has been around for awhile same with marcin. Mangini must have his eye on better coaches. Good to see they are not leaving any stone unturned. Constant upgrading and improving. Excellent!. I'm not used to a coach making good decisions all the time. Man this feels good.

Anything's possible but Curt has stated that he wants to do something for the team but he doesn't want to coach. Maybe persuasion tactics are in order! spiteful.gif

The player that we should be looking forward to being a coach is Pennington. That guy is destined to be a great coach...and as soon as he hangs up the cleats we HAVE to shove a clipboard and a headset into has hands.

Hey, anybody wanna give Donnie Henderson another try here??? He got fired in Detroit. He did a great job in '04 and solid in '05, maybe we could replace Marcin or at least find a job on defense here.

That's a sticky situation...it works in video games...but human kind in general tends to have grudges towards people and organizations that fired them...

Not to mention Donnie isn't a 3-4 person, he's used to the 4-3. He got fired in Detroit because they use the Tampa 2 D.

Henderson was always tipped to be a not-too-distant future head coach in the NFL, now he's been fired from the Detroit Lions...downward spiral, I feel sorry for the guy, I'd love to see him back here.

Are you sure he got fired?? He tried out for the Head Coaching job so I assumed it was just a mutual consesnt thing when he left after not getting it

Same difference...if not worse...would you want to go back to an orgnization that passed over you for some guy who had less experience than you?

I'm not saying it's impossible...just highly improbable. Plus like someone said, he isn't a 3-4 guy.

Not a bad idea but like Hurricanejet said, "human kind in general tends to have grudges towards people and organizations that fired them." If we did hire him though, he would most likely be our DB coach, since that is where he is most skilled at.
