ganggreen2003 Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:02 PM) So is Harvin going to be on the JETS roster in 2015 or we cutting him? What's the SCOOP
azjetfan Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:04 PM) my guess is if he does not restructure they will wait until they see what they can get in FA before making that decision.
azjetfan Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:04 PM) We have until the 19th.
azjetfan Icon : (02 March 2015 - 04:05 PM) I cant wait until FA
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 March 2015 - 08:18 PM) The Jets actually have $55 mil in cap space right now, $65 once they release Harvin
ganggreen2003 Icon : (02 March 2015 - 09:33 PM) well Maccagnan better spend that $55 mil but spend it wisely as hell
ganggreen2003 Icon : (02 March 2015 - 09:34 PM) I think he won't just throw money at players just cause of the name on the back of their jersey

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:22 PM) Kareem Jackson is a decent player, I would rather go elsewhere for CB though> He has been a streaky player, some bad seasons some good
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:23 PM) THE KNICKS
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:43 PM) @AdamSchefter: Filed to ESPN: Bills have notified LB Kiko Alonso he is going to be traded to Philadelphia for RB LeSean McCoy. Trade official next week.
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:43 PM) WOW. Rex is gearing up for ground and pound.
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) Jets can sign Spiller now but they're going to need a new LB. Rex is gunning for David Harris.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:44 PM) Jets should trade Harris to Minnesota for Minnesota for AP
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:44 PM) Throw in Ivory/Powell or a pick
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Damn they got Shady
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Do NOT give up Ivory
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:45 PM) Powell ok Ivory HELL NO
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:50 PM) Well that definitely opens the door for CJ Spiller to the JETS now that the Jills got Shady

Willie Mcginest is old. He's just not the player he used to be. Asante Samuel, on the other hand, is just entering his prime. It is possible he was a product of the system, but I think he just has a lot of upside.

your right though guys samuels is much younger and for some reason doesnt quite get the respect he deserves right now in the league for being as good as he is and hopefoully mangini being his former DB coach will keep him at that level that he's playing now............... mcginest did show his age alot this year too..................their linebackers right now with the exception of colvin could all collect social security but some how they defy their age.......something belichick puts in their gatorade?..............The main thing though that always stuck out to me looking at the leonard was that his team basically drafted him to be the D-Brick of their franchise except with even more upside than D-Brick and he never got close to living up to that potential......to me that stands out as underachieving which always is something that could infect a team and which is what in my opinion really hurt that cardinal o-line...But i think a change of scenery could help him turn around his career which has worked for plenty of other athletes......and giving up a draft pick would hurt us considering the depth that is in the draft this year

Yeah he seems to have a bit of a work ethic problem...so I perfectly understand that argument. But I think he is miscast as left tackle. In my opinion, he is the perfect run blocking right tackle.

The Cardinals line really did improve towards the end of the year...and most of that can be attributed to moving Reggie Wells to RT and plugging rookie Deuce Lutui in at G...but I also think that part of it may be due to Matt Leinart becoming the QB...thus switching which side the pass rushers come from as he is a lefty QB. So that makes the right side the blind side and, in essence, makes the left side the running side. It's a stretch, but I really think that helped.

And also, as you said, you don't have a lot of picks this year, so I really don't want to give up draft picks for a RFA in a draft that is probably even deeper than last year...I mean this draft has crazy talent all the way through the thir round!!!

That's exactly how I feel about this offseason. There is no point going after a guy like Michael Turner who will probably cost a 1st rounder and a huge contract when you could get a back like Michael Bush in the 2nd round with a relatively cheap first contract. The same with Starks. RT isn't as important money-wise than LT where we invested heavily in DBrick last year and having to give up a pick as well as another huge deal would be a waste when there are bound to be serviceable starters available in FA and the draft. Clements IMO didn't doo too badly this past season but obviously there is no harm in upgrading, but not if we are going to overpay hugely for a guy.

Rather than give up picks for RFAs or any player for that matter, I'd rather look to secure one or two more picks throughout the draft and with two 2nd rounders there is leverage for us to do just that as there certainly will be teams offering to jump up a few places due to the talent available in the draft.
