Mike Tice is just a disaster. I was so glad he didn't get the job, and this just cements it. He overstayed his due in Minnesota.

Last season he was an assisstant HC rather than OC. Their OC is Carl Smith.

I think that night mean he's the assistant HC who will also be handling te coach duties. I still think he sucks either way.
Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

Srry guys but I disagree not that tice would have done a better job with the jets but that hes not a horrible head coach.... dont give me the crap about his players had a boat party that was there own decision... Im gladd we took mangini and not tice but at the same time.... The vikings were better last year then they are this year and they had less playmakers last year... You can plead the case that the d got better but that was becuase of tomlin plus the defense was coming around at the end of last year... I think tice is a better coach then most of you give him credit for ... I'd take him over Herman edwars, Thenobody coaching the vikings now, Dennis green, Jim Mora Jr., Tom Coughlin, and plenty of others.... and dont talk about ticket scalping i know thats the next thing and I'll put all my worth on it that other coachs do the same .... They made an example out of him becuase they new he was on the outs from the boat scandal
