Seriously. If the NFL is trying to sell the game overseas why pick rubbish teams? The Dolphins offense is just about as boring as it gets. They should be pushing teams like the saints, chargers, colts IMO

i think the two losing teams in the championship games should play. ex. saints v. patriots, just to spur some kind of excitement.

Talent wise they're not the best but the Dolphins gained a lot of support over here when the NFL really kicked off over here back in the mid 1980s which makes them a logical choice and the Giants have had a big following over here as they are a New York team and were successful around then and the early 90s too meaning they also got quite a bit of support. Plus they're both East Coast teams so the travelling and jet lag won't be as severe as it would be for a central or western time zone team.

I'm in agreement with VilmaBrit though - it will be hard to decide who to root for if I get tickets (which I hope to do) but as the Giants aren't divisional rivals I'll probably support them for 3 hours.

If you're on NFL UK you can buy the tickets 2 weeks before they go on sale to the rest of the public

Wembley will sell out no matter which teams are playing, every football fan in Europe would kill to be at that game

What the NFL apparently want is at least one, possibly two overseas games a year with every team participating once so it is fair (ie each team loses a home game only once). But that will only be brought in if the London game is a success, which it no doubt will be, as well as the preseason game in China between the Pats and Seahawks,

Should be interesting to see what time slot they put the game in. I couldn't imagine for a game of this maginitude for league expansion would be a normal sunday afternoon game. I would think it would be a Sunday or Monday primetime game. If that, the game would have to be scheduled at 1 am London time.


P.S. Where will the game be played? Is Wimbley ready? Possibly Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium?

It's gonna be played at 6pm our time I think. Wembley ain't ready yet but that's where it's gon be played, Arsenal will probably have a game on that day.

Cheers for the heads upon that.

It will be either Wembley or Twickenham, I think Arsenal's new ground is a little small for the amount of fans that will be there and the pitch size requirements.

As a matter of fact nfluk.com sent me an email with a ticket request form so hopefully I'll be going.
