JETS LACK OF REDZONE OFFENSE STILL CURSING THE DEFENSE
XvNukemHighvX Icon : (Yesterday, 10:46 PM) Yeah gonna go with a good old f*** Geno this week. He is still playing better than last year though
RetireChrebet Icon : (Yesterday, 10:46 PM) People saying Sanchez sucks keep in mind he never had a chance to play in morningwegs system. He was held back by shottenheimer
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 10:47 PM) This team will never have a franchise QB. We can't draft them and when we sign or trade for them, they're past their primes.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:48 PM) well
XvNukemHighvX Icon : (Yesterday, 10:48 PM) Because we destoy any promise in our young QBs with our elite offensive support talent.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:48 PM) TIME TO CHANGE THE DIAPER
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:48 PM) another game next week
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 10:48 PM) 3-0 with Sanchez? Oh god...we've gone there already?
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 10:49 PM) jets need more talent on O
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 10:49 PM) and some god damn DBs
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 10:49 PM) Morninweg's system is get the offense going then throw a monkey wrench into things by putting the backup QB in there and f***ing up the offense's rhythm.
RetireChrebet Icon : (Yesterday, 10:50 PM) Yes I went there. Geno spots these teams 7-10 points weekly and has turned the ball in the redzone 3 games in a row. If not for 2 dropped ints geno would have 4 picks. Dude sucks at best
RetireChrebet Icon : (Yesterday, 10:51 PM) Then we got Chris ivory running like marshawn lynch out there and they sit him on the bench the whole fourth quarter
XvNukemHighvX Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 PM) I'd like to use the same excuse I used for Sanchez. QB can't really do shit when your best WR would be a #3 if he was lucky on any other team
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 PM) yeah but sanchez was shell shcoked
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 PM) jets werent fixing him
XvNukemHighvX Icon : (Yesterday, 10:53 PM) Geno will be to after another year or two of this shit.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:53 PM) What's kerleys contract like
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:53 PM) because if he's underpaid I don't see him sticking around
XvNukemHighvX Icon : (Yesterday, 10:54 PM) he only looks good because our O is so bad.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 10:54 PM) I bet a lot of teams have their eye on him
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:56 PM) Decker doesn't need to play until he is completely healthy
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:58 PM) FIRE IDZIK
RetireChrebet Icon : (Yesterday, 11:08 PM) How big was the Sheldon Richardson fumble recovery not being a TD. We quickly went three and out after that
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:43 PM) Idzik better not be stingy this offseason and address the biggest issues we have WR and Secondary
RetireChrebet Icon : (Yesterday, 11:47 PM) King mo says he's ok, injury is minor
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 09:21 AM) As a guy who has been on this site since its inception and is still not a moderator which I guess is cause I'm not part of the rat pack who runs this joint I think GENO should still be the starter.
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 10:19 AM) We still could have won this game with the bad calls. Geno just sucks. All the pick six's, missing wide open receivers, bad throws when they are fought. Stupid trick plays because they don't trust him.
santana Icon : (Today, 10:31 AM) I don't get his decision making
santana Icon : (Today, 10:32 AM) There were another 2-3 ints the bears were gifted but were dropped
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) f***
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) I had a blast at the game... just sucks we lost
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) 1-3 when I go se them
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:32 AM) Refs fucked up the fumble for a TD. by calling it down the first time everyone in the stadium saw it as a fumble
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:33 AM) they need to just let them plays play out because they now look at every turnover
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:33 AM) If hes down they could just overturn it on the replay
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 11:33 AM) f*** Holmes to
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 12:22 PM) gg2003 you want to be a mod?
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 12:22 PM) You have to go through your initiation
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 12:43 PM) Gg03 would be a terrif
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:43 PM) what is the "initiation"
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:47 PM) :zz:
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:53 PM) and no I will not say that Idzik needs to be canned cause he doesn't
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:54 PM) he just needs to find talent at the CB and WR positions while also improving in positions that are currently our strengths like DL and OL
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 01:30 PM) Fire idzik!

10 years ago, Peyton Manning changed the course of
history by staying in school instead of jumping to the NFL

If Peyton Manning (in photo illustration) chose to wear a Jets uniform, it might have been the Jets playing in the Super Bowl.

MIAMI - Peyton Manning might have become the greatest Jets quarterback of all time, better than Joe Willie Namath, if he didn't make the decision 10 years ago that stunned Bill Parcells. He returned to Tennessee for his senior year.
"I thought it was pretty unusual that a guy like him, who was pretty much the consensus first pick, would stay," Parcells told the Daily News from Dallas the other day before heading to his home in Saratoga. "I think he had his reasons. He enjoyed Tennessee, he enjoyed college football. I think his parents were encouraging him to stay."

Manning is finally playing in his first Super Bowl tonight, but who knows how many he would have made by now if Parcells, a future Hall of Famer, was his coach with the Jets instead of Jim Mora and Tony Dungy with the Colts? Manning's decision changed the course of Jets history. It was another indication of terrible luck. The Same Old Jets. Imagine if the Jets added Parcells and Manning in a two-month period.

Parcells would have loved to coach him.

"Anybody would have," he said. "There's very few Peyton Mannings."

Parcells inherited a 1-15 team and the first pick in the 1997 draft when he jumped from the Patriots to the Jets. Manning had just completed his junior year at Tennessee and although it was admirable how much he loved college, the Jets were counting on him coming out. Parcells clearly was not a fan of Neil O'Donnell. Manning, who has the work ethic of Phil Simms but is certainly more talented, would have thrived playing for Parcells.

But on March 5, 1997, six weeks before the draft, Manning made a stand for being true to your school and announced he was returning for his senior year. Parcells elected not to take offensive tackle Orlando Pace at No. 1, traded down twice in the first round and selected linebacker James Farrior at No. 8.

"Parcells shook things up for me a little bit when he was hired there," Manning said at the time. "It made this decision a lot tougher, knowing he was there. I had no negative thoughts about the Jets whatsoever. I have no doubt in my mind that Parcells will get them going again."

The NFL is strict against teams encouraging players to leave school early, and even 10 years later, Parcells says he was telling Manning, through intermediaries, to stay at Tennessee. But in his conversations with Archie Manning he gave him an indication about the Jets' intentions if Peyton declared for the draft.

"I was trying to stick with the rules," Parcells said. "But everybody knew if he did come out he'd be picked and we had the first pick. We were interested in a quarterback. I tried to be real generic with Archie. I told him I thought Peyton was an excellent player and we were interested in that position. I don't think I talked to Peyton."

The only way Parcells would have considered trading away the chance to take Manning was if he was offered "two or three drafts." Not two or three draft picks; two or three complete drafts. The Saints, picking second, and the Falcons, picking third, were prepared to make mega-offers for Manning, but the overwhelming feeling was Parcells was not going to trade the pick.

Instead, Parcells cut O'Donnell after just one season with him. He started the 1998 season with Glenn Foley, switched to Vinny Testaverde and made it to the AFC title game. Testaverde was injured in the first game of the '99 season and Parcells quit as Jets coach after the year.

If the Jets had Manning, there's no way Parcells would have walked away after only three years coaching him. "Who knows? Anything can happen," Parcells said. "You can't assume just because he came to New York that things would be the same as they were in Indianapolis. He was 3-13 in his first year with the Colts. If that happened in New York, you guys would call him a bust."

Manning was the first overall pick by the Colts in 1998, and now, after all these years of putting up great numbers, he is in the Super Bowl.

dont forget Blair Thomas over Emitt Smith in '90..and the reason why we passed on Sapp was because he smoked a little weed...

Man that would of been nice to have a actual QB who actually has arm strength. Why cant we just get a good QB for once..... Why is this team cursed with having shitty QBs in its history and always being a injury away from the superbowl........ I hope Clemens becomes good....
