Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:59 PM) yeah but hes white and a patriot
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) goodell is busy banning handbags from stadiums
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) this country is priming its self for a massive protest this handbag shit is retarded
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) They are so f***ing stupid
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) Like people need more reasons to stay at home for the game
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) Honestly, at this point, the only way I'd go to an NFL game was A. Free tickets B. Tickets were close enough to the field that I felt like I could heckle a player and be heard
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) its not stupid its actually genius
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) the problem is i know for sure the evil genius behind it is dan snyder and other owners pushing for this shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) they want their new stadiums to inhale your money from the minute you enter its zipcode
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Genius in the sense that you force people to spend more money
santana Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) right
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Baseball stadiums started doing this since right after 9/11
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) I used to go to Mets games as a kid with a subway hero
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Now I gotta drop $30 for a burger with fries
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Today, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Today, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Today, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Today, 12:32 AM) right

16 - Jets - They added two nice defensive pieces (Darrelle Revis and David Harris) in the draft and Thomas Jones will help the running game. This team might still be a year away from really being playoff-ready.

Anyone else notice that the Cards are 2 spots ahead of us? And the Giants, Bengals, Seahawks and Steelers. This mock sucks.

Yeah....I'd think we should be 10-12.

Reading the people's comments on there is great. Most people are sticking up for the Jets. Then you have some ass clown who says something ignorant like, "The Jets. HAHA, they suck!" Yeah well 10-6 isn't exactly sucking. When the Jets steamroll the Pats week one and hand them their asses then they'll ALL see that the Jets are the real deal... especially when we take home the AFC East division with a 1st round bye!

Ok, maybe a little bit too optimistic but I'm really hoping that Thomas Jones is legit and does serious things here. If he does this is gonna be the best team in the AFC. Check out this really cool breakdown someone gave about the AFC East.

I like this argument because it is an open debate.

I think that the toughest division in sports is the AFC East.

My Breakdown has it like this (and what do I know):

Last year the AFC East lead all divisions with 35 wins combined.

AFC North had 33 wins, AFC South had 34 wins, and AFC West had 34. No division in the NFC Division had more than 32 wins, with two divisions getting only 29 wins last season.

The AFC East was the ONLY division with (2) different teams having double-digit win totals (Pats, Jets). The Jets at 10-6 would have WON 3 other divisions.

Miami was in LAST with a 6-10 record. The only other division with that distinction was AFC South - where 4th place Houston finished 6-10.

The AFC East allowed 1126 points combined all season. No other division allowed less than 1200. Buffalo was the worst defense in the division in points allowed, and they ranked 11th in the NFL. Let me repeat that - The WORST defense in the AFC East was 11th in points allowed.

This should let everyone know that our team is the real deal. Looking at those numbers, it's impressive. We were a top 10 team in points allowed. Our defense looked scary as hell weeks 9-17. We were one of the hottest teams in Decemeber, even Beli acknowledged that. With a healthy Pennington getting to build on the knowledge he already has about the offense we're looking at a scary team. Scary efficient.

He should have at least put us at 14. Because there is no possible way that the Giants, and the Cardinals are better than us. This guy always talks out of his ass.

ok men ever year we get these ratings and every year we close the gap. last year we were in the mid 20's.- 30.
last year we had a easy schedule but usually we have one of the top five hardest schedules. the most important thing to me is Mangini getting his players to play on a high skilled level every game no matter
what the NUMBERS say. I was on the new nightowl's pub and there I learned we have two just come out mods who are Gay so the future is bright we may have some Jets cheerleaders..co ming hysterical.gif

Posts like these are why I come to this board!! Intelligent, thought out and well said. Also I think you can look at the teams above us and knock a few out to move us up. The broncos at #4? The Cards and Giants ahead of us?But who knows it is only May.

I like when we are low in power rankings, because I like it when the Jets are the underdogs, they always seem to do more damage that way.

How do 2 teams that had weaker records than us, one of them got a top 5 draft pick and the other lost their starting RB and LT ahead of us? (and had a weaker record) We should also be ahead of the Seahawks.

You know what...I happen to like Tom Jones so stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Saying I like A7X is just defamation of character and expect a subpoena at your door. But honestly, with your favorite band being Limp Bizkit and all the other gay shit that you listen to, who are you to judge what I like hysterical.gif

LOL! Thats hilarious. I guess if ya can't laugh at yourself....

Anyways, screw the ranks. All I see is a Jets team that went 10-6 last year and has improved. I'd be surprised to see them do any worse than 9-7. These aren't the same old Jets. Mangini brought in a new system and everybody has bought into it and will only get more fluid.

Expect a breakout year from Sean Ellis folks. He's out to quiet the skeptics.
