ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.

You guys are all acting like ignorant fvckheads...

"Social anxiety disorder—also called “social phobia”—is characterized by an intense fear of being scrutinized by other people in social or performance situations and of negative evaluation."

So imagine the atmosphere created while on a football team...anyone who has been on a team knows the kind of stress put on you by coaches and fellow players. Now imagine that atmosphere when you have an extreme "fear of being scrutinized in performance situations." Just think about how that must feel...everyone he knows telling him he has to play football...when all Ricky probably wants to do is treach yoga and enjoy his life in peace. But he has been trapped so deep in this whirlwind of the NFL he probably feels so trapped and scared he doesn't know how to get out. That is probably why he just panicked and left the Dolphins so suddenly a couple of years ago. It doesn't make it right to leave like that...but one can certainly understand given his situation.

I just wish he is let be...to do what he wants to do with his life.

Social anxiety disorder is not just a “mental” problem: common physical symptoms include rapid heartbeat, trembling, sweating, tense muscles, upset stomach and blushing. In some cases, these symptoms may be severe enough to result in a panic attack.

Oh no, anything but "blushing" and "tense muscles" crazy.gif

Nah, I can see where he's coming from and I feel for him, but it annoys me to see someone wasting such a brilliant talent. There are people who would give anything to be half the player Williams is, and he's throwing it all away for a few joints? Over-shy or not, an NFL career is something only a tiny percentage of people actually achieve, he should be making the most of the next 3 or 4 years he's got (or had). Then he can go back to California and stretch, hum and smoke all he wants

You're wrong! There are prescribed meds for Rickey's condition. Meds, that wouldn't get you banned from the NFL. He's a gifted athelete that is too dumb to understand the consequences of the rules that govern the NFL...so, you're partially right, he will be left alone hopefully and now do what he wants to do with his life.

Don't you think being a good person and enjoying your life is more important than being a good football player? I would rather be a good friend, husband, father, son, brother, etc before I was a good football player. That is a big problem to me...too many people putting their profession before their humanity and common goodness. I don't in any way mean you should sacrifice your passion or job...you shouldn't sacrifice anything. But if playing football makes Ricky miserable...why should he be forced to do it?

What you don't understand is he doesn't care about the damn NFL and their rules...but he has been told his whole life it is all he is good at and it is what he has to do...and now he is trapped...

the problem here is smoking pot and the fact that the legality of the maryjane is a farce that has been around since 1936.
porn is illegal but its like a 35 billion dollar industry.drugs are way up the food chain.
The NFL is not an authority on the personal life of a soverign citizen.
it is a mere slave master corperation.
imagine the shadow goverment slipped in as is typical through congress the "sports particapation act."
making illgeal to play view watch listen to sports of any kind you would be hard pressed to comply and millions of americans would be criminals just like that .
alcohol was much the same thing.
there is more to life than sports . the pursuit of happiness and liberty.

But, the NFL is an authority in this case. Whether or not you agree on the legality of pot, the NFL has its right to ban players for certain substances and in this case, it's pot...it was agreed upon by the NFL and the players association. Until the powers that be (in this case the NFL and Players Assoc.) make changes to that policy, that's the way it's going to be...now, if players like Ricky want to pursue "happiness and liberty", quit trying to buck a system that will beat you down time after time.
