When you recruit players as a new team, do not search for players over 250 miles from your school. this gives you the best chance to recruit this player.

Use this worksheet using Excel to compare players. the higher the core value for that position, the better the player is. Don't get caught up in size and weight, that doesn't mean anything. The core values are what the game goes by.

A word of advice on recruiting. Now I believe this will work best.

Say you have 10 scholorships available. Find the 10 best players you can and make sure you have enough in each position. Go heavy on DL and OL if possible. Also make sure you have new players to offset the seniors leaving after the season. Now... Pick only 10 that you want and target them only. Make sure they are within 250 miles of your school. Hit them quick with 3AC and 3 HC visits with a scholly offer then wait. Make sure they consider you and if they consider others, check out their records. Do not get into a battle with a superior team. If you follow this you should be able to land most of them. If you leave the battle and then go to a new player you wasted valuable cash. If all goes well you should be able to land half of them and then save about 1K each for any battles you may have.
