Chris Johnson asking 2 Years/$10M, Jets want $3-4M per year

azjetfan Icon : (14 April 2014 - 03:44 PM) 18. New York Jets -- Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State: Surprised? Yes, the Jets need a receiver, but it's the deepest receiver draft in years, and they can find a good one in the second round. This would mark the fifth straight year with a defensive pick in Round 1.
Chaos Icon : (14 April 2014 - 03:51 PM) is he better than Gilbert, Dennard, and Fuller?
Mr_Jet Icon : (14 April 2014 - 03:56 PM) In my biased opinion I don't think he's better than Dennard.

Chris Johnson’s visit with #Jets today went well, from what it sounded like. It’s over now. Nothing final yet, other teams still circling
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:25 PM) I think he's just stating the obvious but whatever it's an update
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 10:58 AM) CJ wants 2year, $10 million deal. Jets offered muti year deal, 3-4 mill a year
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:59 AM) so he wants 2 year 10 mil and we offered what 4 years 12-15 mil?
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:07 AM) @emesola: Chris Johnson is seeking approximately 2 years, $10 million. Idzik is not budging over $3-4 mil/year it seems. #Jets #JetsTwitter
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) Kristian Dyer has confirmed that Idzik offered a multi-year deal, we're looking at $3-4M per, as Esola said.
santana Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) Sidney rice coming through
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) I'm guessing 2 years 6 mill is what was offered
santana Icon : (Today, 11:12 AM)

The current market rate for a starting running back is roughly $3M per year. Idzik is offering slightly more than that, and Johnson is seeking a good chunk more.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) this is negotiations, Johnson would like to sign here but will try to gauge his value more
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) He was at the Knicks/Nets game yesterday
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:36 AM) Idk about the numbers, I read an article that said that the Jets offered a "attractive" deal to Johnson and that it was always a longshot that he would sign yesterday, but the Jets believe the deal is market value for him

All,

I want to take this time to appologize for my apparent false information posting.

I have been a member of this site for about 2 years now and will be on my way. From now on, I will only view posts on this site, unless the web site moderators decide I should be banned...

Again, I appologize for posting false information about a college runnin back that I like, and also for double posting that information.

JSOTF, OUT!

Nah man it wasn't an attack I'm sorry. I just thought you and everyone might want to know. I used to think the same thing as you when I saw stat sheets, but after a while I started to realize they don't keep track of it. My bad for sounding like a dick man.

OMG stop being so damn sensitive. You already made mention of in the other thread and now you make a new one?? Are you looking for attention?

No but seriously, feel free to post interesting things you see around the web, It's encouraged! Nobody was belittling you it was more of him correcting you. Hell if I were you I'd want to know the truth and not be left out.

Shake it off, it's all good.

Hurricane, why on Earth are you responding to this nonsense? I dont think anyone on this site saw your reply as an attack, nor did they see my reply that way.

And JSOTF, I realize how easy it is to confuse your computer monitor for a leather couch at a psychiatrist's office, but I assure you it is not. You interpret one post as standoffish and now you need to be coddled? You are so insecure that you needed to start a topic in hopes of what, gathering support?

Im going to fill you in on two simple realities which may help you make it through your days a little better.
1) You WILL be wrong. It happens. No one is right all of the time.
2) Always carry aspirin with you because when you get a heart attack from being wrong or from someone looking at you the wrong way, it could save your life.

OMFG......

I guess that is the beauty of the internet.

I have posted on this site for 2 years, and in those 2 years I have had seen alot of shit posted on here....I have never been one to come at any members on here. I have always respected everyones opinions whether I agreed or not.
I felt that I was being attacked for posting about a RB That I was impressed by, I did not see the other topic until I already posted the information in the 1st topic. I now see that I was wrong, HuricaneJet was just responding to my post and that was it......then I see this post from Pennington.

Look Pennington, In no way am I looking for 'attention'. Nor do I believe this site to be somewhere that I can come and get 'help' or 'coddled' by members. I posted this as a simple appolgy to other people for double posting/incorect information.

Truly Amazing

I didn't take it as apology. It seemed like your were trying to lay a sympathy plea. This is your quote from the opening thread.

What an obscure way of making an apology, don't you agree? You can't blame others for misreading your "apology".

Anyways it's good just let it go. No one was making fun of your mom and telling you to f-off. Someone correcting you about your post isn't a personal attack.

Your a good member of the boards and you've been here for awhile. Keeping doing your thing.

All's forgiven and it's not that serious. I'm gonna go ahead and close this one up.
