I'm only going to touch on Brady's situation for a brief moment then I'll move on. There are some posters here who want the magic medical fariy to repair and heal Bradys MCL or ACL just so if or when we beat them we can say we beat Brady. I say, HOGWASH!!.. Take it for what it is. The reality is he's done for the season or damn near close. This blows the AFC and more importantly the AFC East wide open. When a bunch of Jackel take down wild oxen they chew at his legs and tail until he slows down. Once he becomes weak they go for the throat. We are the Jackel.
Anyways on to the Jets. This is only one game and we played and we played it against a Q.B that knows our defense inside and out and we won. Couple that with Brett being here for only a short time. New players, such as Faneca and Woody meshing with Bricks,Gold and Moore and Brett trying to gain a feel for our WR's. Anyone notice Jerricho at flanker?... yes, this is because the flanker is the #1WR position and Favre has the most rapport with him. Coles playing against other teams "2's" is going to be dangerous for us when Favre finds a comfort level with him.
On the best of the best packer teams Favre has been on he's never had this much talent on one team at the same time. Coles,Cotchery,Keller,Baker,Franks,Stuckey,Smith with a solid OL (only to get better with time). Just wait until the offense starts to get operating like a well tuned machine. The running game is there, which means the play action is there, which means we are going to be able to make teams play OUR game not theirs. We are going to be able to dictate the tempo.
THE DEFENSE!! I mean do I have to explain? Revis locked down his side of the field today, Kerry Rhodes is automatic and our pass rush is only going to get more fierce with time.
This team is a superbowl contender. I was really happy with how we played for a bunch of new guys getting acquainted with each other. There are 15 more games and whole shit load of practices. This team is going to be a force this year.
Our time is now fellas!

Agreed on all counts Dubb! I can understand why some people would want the Jets to beat the Pats with Brady as opposed to without him, I really do. Hell, I was looking forward to seeing Favre vs. Brady on Sunday, but I'll take any break for our team how I can get it. Think about it this way. My rugby team had a game this week against this team that beat us 39-7 last season. We ended up beating them on Saturday by a score of 19-10. The difference is though that this team only had 5 of their 15 starters return. Nobody is going to put an asterisk by our win saying it was cheap or anything like that, just like nobody is going to put an asterisk on the Jets season if it turns out how we all hope it will. The entire landscape of this division just changed. Enjoy this ride everyone and don't feel miserable because Tom Brady isn't there for us to beat him. I always say karma is a bitch, looks like I'm right at this point in time.

I gotta say this, I made the mistake of agreeing on a previous post about hoping some guy would go after Bradys leg with the intent to injure it. I certainly did not really wish injury - especially such a serious injury on any football player. So I appologize to the board for that.
As I said earlier, I wont believe anything here until it is official....cant trust bellicheat....
On to the Jets, looked much better than I imagined, Favre is magical, and that is the only way to call it. Jones ran better than I have seen in a while.....I am looking forward to next week....

I expected growing pains from the start . And it was always a matter of time for Brady / Manning to get hurt . which should be a tell tale sign that Farve is not immune to injury . we still need to fight and claw for deep penetration into the playoffs but thats to far thinking ahead. Farve is a high risk high reward proposition and the probability just went up.{high reward}

This is a dangerous time for Jets fans. We are usually very guarded in our optimism, because we've been let down so many times. I've upped my expecatations a little bit but I'm not going to think we're one of the top echelon teams in the AFC quite yet. I need to see a more dominant performance.

That is the mentality that Every Die Hard JETS fan should be saying to themselves right now...no need to start crowning the JETS as SB XLIII champions when we only have won 1 game and we have a very tough opponent next week but I truly believe this is the chance the JETS need to take the bull by the horns and control thier own destiny and let the dust settle when it's all said and done...let's take the positives from yesterdays victory and the negatives also and improve upon them and just continue to improve every week and still keep the grounded mentality that the season is still young and the only way to go is up

Well I like your argument and I hope you are right.We need a Superbowl bad.But in all honesty it is to early to say the Jets are a Superbowl contender after one game, and a game against a team that was 1-15 last year.You should know as well as anyone things can change from week to week.The Jets looked good but I saw a good bit of issues too that if not fixed will kill us against better teams.
You must seriously be hitting that pipe this year because I have seen some erroneous comments from you this year like I have never seen before.Either you are trying to pump everyone up or I dont know what.I have never known you to be a band wagon guy before. What gives?

Look if the Cowgirls can be claimed superbowl contenders by having a a good Q.B,WR's,TE,Defense and running game. Then why can't we?
The road to the superbowl ran through Foxborough, thats not the case anymore. I've actually never EVER said the words"superbowl contender" and "jets" in the same sentence for years but if any year looks to be ours then this would be the one.
