Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.

Jetsfan115 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it
Jetsman05 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:55 PM) awesome analogy, makes a ton of sense

Bunch of my buddies have been doin a $500 dollar to 1st money league for the last few years..12 team league that starts
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 K, D/ST.

I basically had a pre-draft strategy of going RB heavy since you can start 3 per week. I had the 7th pick, snake-style draft. Tell me what you think:

Starters:

QB - Kerry Collins
RB - Willis McGahee
RB - Rudi Johnson
WR - Michael Clayton
WR - Larry Fitzgerald
WR/RB - LaMont Jordan (HOLLA)
TE - Dallas Clark
K - Jeff Reed
D/ST - Arizona

Backups:
Carson Palmer
Lee Suggs/Larry Johnson
Plaxico Burress/Charles Rogers
Doug Jolley

I'm fairly Happy...WR are prolly my slight disadvantage, but in a league that starts 3 RB's i saw having depth there was huge..And i like clayton and Fitz this year to put up nice numbers. Let me know what you guys think biggrin.gif

I don't know what those guys are talking about but I think you have a dominant team. You have alot of young, untapped talent at WR and your RB are amazingly good. Carson Palmer is a damn good back-up QB. I say you could even start him over Collins and you probably will once Palmer really gets going and the Raiders suck like I know they will.
I changed my name, but I dont remember what it was... if anyone remembers please let me know.

Thx Herm. I see it as a high risk, high reward team..if Fitz, LaMont, Palmer, and Clark have the break-out seasons many are predicting they will, i think i'll be aiite. And i agree about Carson..he finished last season really well and looks good this year. And if Priest goes down, I stole larry johnson in the 11th round..could be huge...time will tell

Even though I don't really like him, a lot of people have Clayton in and around the top ten so I think your team looks really good. Collins/Palmer are both high-upside QBs who could finish in the top ten in scoring at their position. I also really like your RBs, especially late in the year when Holmes is hurt and done and Johnson is the featured back.

How many fantasy teams can say they have four starting RBs, Larry Johnson, and 2-3 starting receivers? Not many.

When the worst thing I can say is that your defense is a little weak and I don't like your back up receivers (at all) then I have to give you a top grade on your team. Good work.

Don't be surprised if you finish last but don't be surprised if you finish first. Your team is a huge risk as you said, and if it pays off you will win this league. McGahee will be great for you and Rudi should be as well. If Lamont can get around 1300 and 12-14 td and Collins can throw for 30 td, you will have a hell of a team.

Yea i agree jabroni. I definitely took some chances and am hoping taking 2 raiders for starters doesn't backfire..problem being they were the best picks i could've made at those points in the draft so i'm happy with them either way.
