im currently 9-2, clinched first already.... here is my team
QB - Tony Romo, Matt Ryan, Tyler Thigpen
RB - Marion Barber, Thomas Jones, Tim Hightower, Jerious Norwood
WR - Hines Ward, Plaxico Burress, Marvin Harrison, Bobby Engram
TE - Dallas Clark, Dustin Keller
DST - Philadelphia Eagles
K - Stephen Gostkowski
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now.... im thinking of boosting my wr core, mostly due to the fact that marvin harrison is having a non-marvin harrison like season.....
I can expend Tim Hightower because i have 2 top 6 runningbacks and Norwood, if needed, can be a gap play.
The reasons why i should trade harrison -
hes having a bad year and coming off a good week, always a good time to trade a player
but......
The colts have one of the easiest playoff schedules (SD, CLE, CIN, DET) ----- very tempting not too trade but i am confident dallas will get me my fair share of points from those games.....
with that in mind, would you:
Trade:
Marvin Harrison and Tim Hightower
For:
DeSean Jackson and Darren McFadden (4th RB only! depth move, hes back from his injury this week)
wwyoudo?
the end result would be desean over marvin (ward, burress, jackson)

I say you hold on to Harrison. As long as Peyton Manning is back thre he's getting stats. Marvin will come around.
McFadden is nothing special yet and I like Tim Hightower. I don't make the trade! The cards are going to have to cater to the run game as the season wears on. It's getting cold and snowy for the northern teams. They can't be passing the rock all over the field in the elements as much. Hightower will need to become more of a weapon.
With the raiders stuggling every team is going to be looking to stop the run game. I think you'll get better production with Marivn and Hightower then you will Deshean and McFadden.

Not sure if this changes anything but Im pretty good in fantasy football. 3 years in my current league (very competitive, $150 buy-in, 12 team league). Champion the first year and currently in 1st by a wide margin and looking for another championship...
First question, do you start 3 WRs? I.e. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DST??
Do you get points per reception?
If you start 3 WRs then Id make this trade. I also have Marvin Harrison and I've been trying to dump him all season. Furthermore, Tim Hightower is nothing special. I would want McFadden over Hightower for a few reasons. Big play potential plus the Arizona running game gets abandoned way too often. Oakland has no choice but to rely on the run. You could argue that DeSean Jackson is at the very least equal to Marvin (I would argue he is better), so the end result of this trade is a win for you.
Your team is solid though...a little lacking of depth but your starters are good. My team looks like this:
QB (1): Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb
RB (2): Michael Turner, Frank Gore, Thomas Jones, Julius Jones
WR (2): Steve Smith (Car), Bernard Berrian, Marvin Harrison, Tedd Ginn Jr.
TE (1): Todd Heap (Yuck), Zack Miller (Yuck)
K (1): Steven Gostkowski
IDP (1): John Abraham, Calvin Pace
Def (1): Jets
I also need to upgrade my WRs. Im trying to swing a deal too.

I went ahead with this trade, i really am losing nothing and going from the 36th WR who has 3 weeks over 10 points for the 21st WR who is much more consistent and also a special teams threat. Harrison put up 1 point three times this year and 3 points twice... i cant depend on that during the playoffs.... Also the loss of hightower really isnt all that big considering i have norwood (32 points in last 3 weeks compared to hightower's 23) and i really doubt i would have to bench both of my starters for any reason.
