The Jets are coming off a huge win at New England last Thursday and have an extra couple days to prepare for this matchup. They have a one-game lead over the Patriots and don't want to relinquish it. Tennessee pretty much has the AFC South wrapped up and the Titans want to lock up home-field advantage as they head into the playoffs. This will pit a Titans offense that wants to run the ball effectively to set up the pass versus a Jets team that will throw the ball to set up the run.

How can they give the nod to the Titans at DB? With Revis and Law on our side against an injury decimated secondary in Tennessee.

Probably because statistically speaking they are number 1 in pass defense, and we are terrible.
haha...
I keep saying it...everyone think Rhodes and Revis are pro bowlers...Abram Elam is solid...and Dwight Lowery is promising. If that were the case our pass defense would not be so bad ESPECIALLY considering our run defense and pass rush are top notch. Someone...or everyone in the secondary is over rated. We just gotta face it.

People who do not understand the complexities of the game should not be allowed to cover the NFL. Roger should get off the excessive fining of players and get on the media. These people are looking at numbers only. They are not taking into consideration scheduals or other criteria. I do believe the Titans are favored but they are not that much better. I have already thrown this out the window.

I prefer to think that someone working for scouts inc and who watches film, breaks it down, and analyses games for a living knows more than you and takes into account more than stats. I was merely making a revalation for some. Titans are the number one pass defense. We are 28th. That's proof they are better. This guy has an entire breakdown of the gamer like they always do thats not even posted for some reason. Anyone want me to post the whole thing?

#1 pass defense against what teams? when comparing two teams its hard to use stats if they do not play the same teams with the same circumstances.I did say they are the favored team and agree with that. My post also was not a stab at you. Stats are #s that are a guide at best.

Ok then. But yeah #1 is usually a sign of doing something right. I have no problem with their assessment, besides its just one analyst's opinion. If the Jets shut down Collins and that underwhelming passing attack then all that matters is that thye were good enough.

the problem with the secondary has been lowery IMO
he is always getting beat because hes just a step too slow
everytime a team needs a big conversion...they attack lowery and usually get it which extends drives
lowery is nice...but i think hes better fit as a ball hawking safety
