Lets go cotchery
vjdbbq Icon : (26 January 2016 - 02:41 PM) But then we have very little cap room left . Is he worth it ?
MikeGangGree... Icon : (26 January 2016 - 09:43 PM) If we cut cro and brick we will be around 28 million under the cap. We can tag him
MikeGangGree... Icon : (26 January 2016 - 09:44 PM) Or tag and trade him. No way we should just let him walk
vjdbbq Icon : (27 January 2016 - 08:24 AM) We need Cro and Brick but for less salary .
S-Dubb Icon : (29 January 2016 - 10:18 AM) what up home dawgs?
S-Dubb Icon : (29 January 2016 - 10:22 AM) long time no chat, Ya boy has returned from the depths. Good to see everyone alive and well. Another season down the drain... what else is new? Fitz coming back next yr means we wont be going to the superbowl. We seriously need to land a QB. I hope Petty is the future and Im still quietly waiting for Geno to show up. IF they retain him it would speak volumes
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 January 2016 - 11:23 AM) I'm done with Geno. Never really expected much from him from the beginning. So I'm also looking for Petty to be the future.
vjdbbq Icon : (29 January 2016 - 04:33 PM) GENO SUCKS MONKEY DICK
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 January 2016 - 07:16 PM) S-Dubb??.Who's that guy?
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 January 2016 - 07:17 PM) FIRE S-DUBB
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 09:10 AM) Dubb and Amen? Did I take a wrong turn and land back in 2007?
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 09:10 AM) Haha good to see both of you
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 03:28 PM) I don't care if Cro comes back, I think Marcus Williams can start opposite Revis. Hes a ball hawk and has performed well everytime hes called on.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 03:41 PM) I want Fitz back as starter, he lacks arm talent but he is scrappy
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 03:41 PM) The team loves him as a leader and he is a good bridge QB as we groom a QB of the future.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 03:42 PM) He also has top notch pocket awareness.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 January 2016 - 03:42 PM) He allows our playmakers to make plays. After years of terrible QB play, I'll take 31 TD 15 INTs almost 4,000 yards
MikeGangGree... Icon : (01 February 2016 - 12:41 AM) I can't stop thinking about the off season...... what the hell are we gonna do!!
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 09:59 AM) Maccagnan is going to have to show his worth
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 10:00 AM) They can't have Wilkerson on that franchise tag, they have to sign him long term with a small cap hit or trade him. Otherwise we are in trouble with other FAs.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 10:00 AM) We need Harrison back, you can't run a effective 3-4 without a stud NT.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 10:01 AM) I hope we get Harrison back on a 4 yr contract.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 February 2016 - 12:55 PM) I really think we are going to have to tag and trade Wilkerson
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 February 2016 - 12:56 PM) If we keep wilk we lose Harrison or Fitzpatrick maybe both
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 February 2016 - 12:56 PM) And ivory
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 07:23 PM) We can't keep Wilkerson, Richardson, and Williams. A move has to be made
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 07:25 PM) If the Jets want to go cheaper, they can try to trade Wilkerson and have Richardson/Williams for cheap
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 February 2016 - 07:25 PM) Then they can re-sign Harrison, FItzpatrick, Ivory, and maybe Powell.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 February 2016 - 09:59 AM) Kaepernick apparently wants out of SF and wants to join the Jets
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 February 2016 - 09:59 AM) Guess he sees the Jets as a team with a great WR tandem and a quality OC who builds a offense around the players
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 February 2016 - 10:29 AM) No thanks
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 February 2016 - 10:29 AM) Unless he's dirt cheap
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 February 2016 - 10:30 AM) The jets would be fools to take on that contract
Jetsfan115 Icon : (03 February 2016 - 02:09 PM) keep powell, snakcs, wilkerson, and fitz. let ivory walk, trade richardson, cut cromartie, restructure brick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 February 2016 - 04:18 PM) Marshall said no to Kaepnerick, he wants FItzpatrick as his QB
vjdbbq Icon : (04 February 2016 - 12:07 PM) Where's Rob ? I need some ass shots !!!!!
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 04:16 PM) its crazy how dead this site is
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 04:16 PM) its super bowl Sunday!!
vjdbbq Icon : (Today, 04:47 PM) Everybody is at Rob's house ; checking out the asses !!!!!
Smedsthejet Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) Hope Cotchery gets a ring tonight
santana Icon : (Today, 07:04 PM) Yeah I would rather see a panther win
santana Icon : (Today, 07:25 PM) Zzzz
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 09:03 PM) I want to see Manning go out on top
vjdbbq Icon : (Today, 11:03 PM) Jerricho got screwed on the call in the first quarter but he dropped a few later on .
vjdbbq Icon : (Today, 11:04 PM) Screw Manning and his chicken parm .

Tennessee Titans still say they are better than Jets after loss
BY OHM YOUNGMISUK
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

Monday, November 24th 2008, 9:26 AM

NASHVILLE - After they had been stunningly manhandled in almost every facet of the game, the Titans' two defensive leaders said it's clear who the best team in the AFC is.

According to Albert Haynesworth and Keith Bulluck, the Titans, not the Jets, are still the standard in the conference.

BIG APPLE FOOTBALL: WEEK 12
Apparently not even a 34-13 whipping on their home turf can change their minds about that.

"I'm not going to sit here and keep complimenting them at all," Bulluck said after repeatedly crediting the Jets for being the better team Sunday. "Defensively we didn't answer the bell and that's it. Not to discredit them (but) I don't think that team is better than us. They were today, definitely by far. They put a lot of points up and held us to very few. They are definitely one of the top teams in the AFC."

According to Haynesworth, the Jets aren't the top dog in the AFC yet.

"I think we are," said Haynesworth, who had 1-1/2 sacks and a forced fumble but was otherwise held in check. "We just didn't have a good game. They played really good ball. We didn't show up. We didn't play nowhere near as good as we can."

That would be an understatement. The Titans went into this game ranked in the top 10 of 12 different defensive categories. They had surrendered an average of 13.1 points - best in the league - and 281.8 yards per game.

But from the first drive of the game, Tennessee's monster defense found itself chasing the Jets and was kept guessing virtually all afternoon.

Besides scoring 34 points, the Jets hammered the Titans for 409 total yards, 192 coming on the ground alone. That's almost 100 yards more than what teams had averaged against the Titans all season (95.1).

Tennessee's bruising running game managed a measly 45 yards as the Titans were forced to throw after falling behind 20-3 with 3:02 left in the third.

And even though Kerry Collins had managed to rise to the occasion earlier this season when defenses focused in on the running game, the Titans' quarterback couldn't overcome several dropped passes by his receivers. Collins' receivers had dropped five balls by the first drive of the second quarter.

By the time Collins found the end zone for the team's only touchdown, that to fullback Ahmard Hall, the Titans were down 27-13 with 9:43 remaining.

Their 10-game winning streak was history, snapped by the AFC's hottest team - the Jets.

Haynesworth said he fully expects to see the Jets again in the playoffs. Bulluck hopes to see the Jets again in Nashville when much more is at stake.

"We got embarrassed at home," Bulluck said. "(But) we are going to do our damndest to make sure anything playoff-wise in the AFC is coming through Tennessee. Football is a mentality. A game like this toughens an already tough team."

I agree. I didn't hear anything insulting being said by the Titans. The players fully admitted they got their butts whooped. In all honsety, our guys played great, and none of the Titans' strengths (defense, big play drives on offense, etc.) ever came in to play. It was a wellocached and well-executed game against the Titans on Sunday. Come playoff time, who knows? The results might be different. I hope not, however.

I agree with the last poster here but did anyone see any adjustment by Fisher to change what Mangini did to fishers team ? Secondly the Titans beat us in one category they did more to lose the game then we did. biggrin.gif

Did anybody hear those 'clASSy' Tenn fans at the end of the game during the Leon Washington TD drive .. booing and chanting 'Ref You Suck'?

wow .. they lost by 21 points and they are blaming the ref? pretty sad

I'll never forget a few years back in the NHL playoffs The Devils swept the rangers and after the game every fan was still in thier seats in MSG and gave thier team a standing ovation .. even as a Devils fan I was impressed with the class those fans showed that night .. this was the kind of reception I would have expected Titans fans to show following thier teams VERY impressive 10 game run .. instead the boo and blame the ref .. I dont ever again want to hear how Jets fans are the worst fans ever ..

as for the players .. what they say doenst really matter .. they are supposed to believe in themselves .. but obviously the score showed who was the better team yesterday .. in every facet of the game!! That would be the 1st place New York Jets!

I agree that players always think they should have won or will win next time. However when an opponent comes into your house and takes you behind the woodshed for a good old fashioned ass-kicking it is better to keep your fat mouth shut. The Jets looked like they were ready to induce more pain. The Titans are lucky the game was only 60 minutes long!

The 'W' speaks for itself. In a game that lopsided, you can't make excuses.
Sal Paolantonio commenting on the difference in the Ryan and Mangini atmospheres in the building:
"It's like going from Alcatraz to Dorney Park."

It is better to destroy than create what is meaningless, so the picture will not be finished.
