Chris Johnson’s visit with #Jets today went well, from what it sounded like. It’s over now. Nothing final yet, other teams still circling
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:25 PM) I think he's just stating the obvious but whatever it's an update
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 10:58 AM) CJ wants 2year, $10 million deal. Jets offered muti year deal, 3-4 mill a year
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:59 AM) so he wants 2 year 10 mil and we offered what 4 years 12-15 mil?
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:07 AM) @emesola: Chris Johnson is seeking approximately 2 years, $10 million. Idzik is not budging over $3-4 mil/year it seems. #Jets #JetsTwitter
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) Kristian Dyer has confirmed that Idzik offered a multi-year deal, we're looking at $3-4M per, as Esola said.
santana Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) Sidney rice coming through
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 11:08 AM) I'm guessing 2 years 6 mill is what was offered
santana Icon : (Today, 11:12 AM)

The current market rate for a starting running back is roughly $3M per year. Idzik is offering slightly more than that, and Johnson is seeking a good chunk more.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) this is negotiations, Johnson would like to sign here but will try to gauge his value more
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) He was at the Knicks/Nets game yesterday
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:36 AM) Idk about the numbers, I read an article that said that the Jets offered a "attractive" deal to Johnson and that it was always a longshot that he would sign yesterday, but the Jets believe the deal is market value for him

David Harris had a good game... Had like 2 or 3 TFL and a sack. Also had 13 tackles, was good to see him back...... To bad Kris Jenkins decided that he doesn't want to try anymore since last week. And our DB can't cover my grand mother, and our pass rush couldn't get to a turtle with how bad they are........

I guess this is why they are the Jets huh????? Older fans is this what the rest of my life as a Jets fan is going to be like???

You're crazy. This defense sucks and I saw Harris out of position on BIG pass plays about 10 times. I don't give a shit about stats. Stats don't tell the whole story. This defense sucks plain and simple. Harris is sucking balls too. So what, so he got about 7 tackles about 10 yards down the field. That certainly isn't something to be happy about.

Face it, we suck. Stop trying to make a positive because that's like putting sprinkles on a turd and calling it a cup cake.

I don't know what you were watching but Harris wasn't the one getting beat downfield.... He was mainly rushing the passer on passing downs and his tackles were not 10 yards down the field. More within 5 yards. Actually I saw Eric Barton getting beat a few times downfield.

I will say this....... If Brandon Spikes enters the draft, he is THE guy I want with the first rounder... We need a ILB that is big enough to shed blockers but athletic enough to cover. He does both extremely well from what I've saw.

I know, it's ridiculous. This team sucks at every single possible phase of the game. I never thought I'd see the day that Chad Pennington would have a better pass yard per attempt than Brett Favre. What the fuckin kind of offense are we running? The whole package is pathetic. We are lucky to have 8 wins because honestly we are more looking at 4 wins. We got lucky against the Phins, we got lucky against KC and we sure as hell got lucky against the Pats. Probably should have lost to the Cards considering we gave up 30 points in the 2nd half. Come on!

This season is over. If they even get lucky enough to squeak into the playoffs they are one and done against a team like the Colts or Baltimore. They will eat us alive.

No they dont but they can be useful. He may have had a decent game but I did come up with a stat sheet of games showing the defense wasnt any better with Harris in or out this year.

The problems on defense are really from bad coaching.Getting beat a few times is one thing but all the time means bad coaching period.

Our defensive problems are because players play with no fire.... We need a DC that can bring the fire.. We need to keep drafting defensive players also..... BRANDON SPIKES FOR 09!!!!!!!!

I`ve been in the club. I`m not a 20 something. Mark Messier was the man back in the day especially when he was a member of the Oilers from the late 80`s.
As for the Jets i really had my hopes up for a while but deep down inside you just know it will ALWAYS end up being the same ole Jets(SOJ).Its been 29 yrs of misery 4 me.
