...the last time I ever played football was as a corner for my HS team, and Mike Singletary was my idol back then (it was the 80's). I liked how he played with passion, attitude and anger, and how he seemed to get personally offended when an opposing player dared to try and run or pass the ball on him - his goal was to hit them as hard as he could just to send them a message.
My message to the players on the Jets D is this: get some cajones. You guys are letting the team down, because you don't play with attitude. Please show up on Sundays with attitude, or just don't show up at all.
At least the Jets back in the 80's did play with anger and attitude, even though they lost. The members of the Jets D don't plat any sort of anger or attitude, and maybe it's Bob Sutton's fault. I just don't know at this point, and that's what's frustrating. All I know is that both my wife and co-workers all last week have been asking me: "Why are you in such a bad mood?" My only response was: ask the players on the Jets...
Oh, and one more point, Coles should adapt the NY Giants' slogan: "Shut up and play." If he's not happy, than make some catches. Go back to the 'Skins if you're so unhappy.
