Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) I'm excited to start researching potential draft prospects for us, I have no idea really who the top guys are this year.
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) Look at all the first round top qb draft pick busts over the years. Even most of the analysts arent sure about any of the qbs this year
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) I can not believe u could post such a thing about THE DUCK
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:17 PM) I'll be more excited if Idzik was fired. I'm interested to see who our next HC is too
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:19 PM) Bill cowher and THE DUCK

MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:22 PM) Its all hit of miss
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:24 PM) Yeah and thats what Im saying. So you changed your tune now?
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:25 PM) No one believes any of the qbs coming out this year is NFL ready
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:25 PM) Talk about all the recent QBs that were taken and have done well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:26 PM) not true, some believe in the QBs this year. Some don't.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:26 PM) NO
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:26 PM) SUCK FOR THE DUCK
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:27 PM) I've seen tweets from NFL people that think Winston's skills are NFL ready. Has maturity issues though
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:27 PM) Yeah but most of those years there more qbs that were thought to be NFL ready. The last few years hasnt been that way
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:28 PM) Its hard to go against Winston
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:28 PM) I rather have a high pick regardless, even if you trade back, it's valuable.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:28 PM) the guy has not lost a game in 2 years as a starter
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:28 PM) Trade with the redskins
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) Maybe they will give us 3 1st round pikcs
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) picks
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) Heck I think Maniel will be a huge bust. I actually hope he is because he was a major dickhead in college acting like he was the next Brady or Peyton Manning
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) I'm no QB expert, but I think Winston shows a lot of ability to be a franchise QB. Guy has amazing pocket presence for a college QB and when the game is on the line he always delivers. He is very talented as well.
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) Manziel
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:32 PM) I didnt see any of his so I cant say. I usually only watch Pac 12 games
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:35 PM) My problem with Mariota is that he has accuracy issues. Look at the las time we picked a qb with Accuracy issues didnt work out that well
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:37 PM) And I wasn't really impressed with Sanchez looking much better this year. His accuracy is finally NFL average but once again like pretty much every year he has more turnovers than tds
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:38 PM) 12 passing tds 1 rushing td 10interceptions and 7 fumbles 4 of them lost so he has 13 tds and 14 turnovers total
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:39 PM) No chance of him taking Foles job
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:41 PM) though he might have a shot getting a job on a team that needs a td with his improved accuracy. He was better in the Redzone this year. best of his career. No tunovers in the redzone. The first time in his career
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:41 PM) meant needs a qb
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:43 PM) I wish we could keep harvin but he is definitely gone. No way the team is going to pay him what he wants with so many needs. Hope they pay Richardson though
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:46 PM) We need to upgrade almost the whole Oline and Mangold is getting old so we need to start looking for a center soon. he is still damn good at blocking but he never pulls like he used to on running plays
ROBJETS Icon : (Today, 05:48 PM) Especially with him having to deal with that big bastard Wilfork twice a year.
santana Icon : (Today, 05:52 PM) Keenum played better than any jet qb this year

I was told by a pretty good source yesterday that the Jets will hire Spags if he wants the job as soon as the the Giants season ends.

Basically that the job is his if he wants it but it cant be announced for obvious reasons until the Giants end their season. All of the interviews your hearing about lately are smoke screens. Spags impressed Woody and Tanny enough for them to say he is their guy.

I know this sounds cheap and I have no link or whatever but when I tell you my source is legit..its legit. Also, ive never been one to talk out of my ass here anyway.

Personally, I guess im happy if we indeed sign him.

I think that out of the candidates so far, He is the most logical selection. But I do hope Ryan gets his interview at the very least.

I wouldn't mind if Spags became HC. Hes a great coach, I wouldn't be too surprise reports are hes a top guy for us. But we haven't even interviewed Rex Ryan yet so IDK.

Honestly guys, this is why I was a little shocked when my friend told me that. I like Rex Ryan and a part of me prefers him over Spags due to his expertice with the 3-4 D. But like I said before, my friend said the job is Spags' if he wants it.

Does your friend work inside the NFL or the Jets??? How would he have this information, has he ever told you information early before and been right?

I cant say because that can get her fired, but trust me..she is around both the Jets and Giants brass alot.

She has told me about other stuff before but I never posted to avoid looking like a possible bullshitter, but she had come through though.

For example, she told me about the Jets signing Ty Law a day before it happened.

Thanks for the news, Merenguito. I like Spags compared to the other names in the mix. I would rather chew nails than have Brian Schottenheimer.

I've beleived that it was his job...probably a week before Mangini was fired, knowing that the jets and Giants share the same facilities more or less and that there would be easy access for a "sitdown" with Spags by our FO "on the down low". But that was my gut...I had no inside sources so to speak....

Hopefully your source is correct, and the Giants lose to Philly "somehow" tommorow to get the staff in place next week..I have a good feeling about Spags...but this is our time of the year! Which I am getting real tired of!!!

It's a copycat league..the FO went the Patriot route, and now Woody will in my opinion scoop up the defensive coordinator that stopped the Pats...

I have no clue what the OP's credibility is, since I haven't ever posted here, but I mentioned this rumor on my blog today.

I wouldn't call Merenguito a liar he has been on this board for quite some time and I've never seen him BS before. So I would take his word that he was told that.

I'm not questioning the original poster. Just pleading ignorance, and he seemed well-spoken enough and the first few posters didn't trash him, so I figured he was good.

Thanks. I'm a mod at TGG, so I spend most of my time there.

I had never really ventured over here, but I did know Angel Navedo from his work at bleacher report. Now that I do this blog, I figured I'd use every MB I know of to both plug my blog, get more opinions, and maybe find different nuggets that I didn't see at TGG.

Nice place you have here.

Love your stuff. But damn, we need a best mod award on TGG. I want an award. I'm clearly not popular among my masses.

Wow I didnt expect my post to reach a blog but wow I guess im flattered. I havent been on since that day and since then it seemed as if for once my source was not coming through! I even texted her telling her I was gonna look bad on the website lol

I dont know what to think to be honest guys but if this 2nd interview means anything I guess my friend may indeed still be right after all.

Like I said before, I personally prefer Rex Ryan but I would not be upset with Spags. We shall see what happens.

i dont doubt you dude. that was the information she had before the Ryan interview. i dont think anyone had the foresight to see Ryan holding down a 5-hour interview.
