its more of a responsibility issue. i'm at a firneds house (that he owns not like his parents house or anything) and playing maden bbqing and having a few drinks (like 3 or 4) in a 6-7 hour period. plus i always know i can crash there. when your younger u have to sneak around and do it in other places and chances are somebody is drving under the influence.

yea im 16, and im a junior in high school, your telling me you guys never drank in high school? I am a pretty mature 16 year old and can control my actions, and im just not stupid...i know some people who get behind the wheel after they drink but i know better. Also, i believe the drinking age should be changed....if you can go to war and die for your country at 18, why cant you have a damn beer?

Not only did I not drink in high school, I never drank a day in my life. I admit the drinking age should be lowered to 18, but guess what, it's not 18 it's 21. Drinking underage is illegal.

I think Miller Light is the best light beer, but really...it's light beer. Having one beer isn't going to put on weight and honestly, if you drink so much you have to drink light beer instead of regular, you probably ought to cut down on it. All these low calorie and low carb beers are just pointless, most domestic beers don't have that many of either in them anyway.

Most of the other light beers are swill. Around here (mid-MO) everyone loves Budweiser (of course) and I think the stuff is crap. Regional prefrences are usually dominant with college age (and, in all fairness, younger) people. Part of that is because you can be in St Louis (or whichever brewing city you are in) and maybe get a beer made the day before and it is really fresh. But I still think a slightly older Miller beats a fresh Bud.

Oh, and for the record, I didn't drink till I moved out and right before my 21st birthday, then I had an expendable income beacause I was working as a manager and I drank a lot (especially Gin and Cuba Libres), and then gave alcohol up a while back and haven't drank in three or four months.

I think Bacardi makes a 0 Carb Rum, if you're interested. It's not too bad. I like miller lite as a light beer. It has less carbs and tends to be pretty cheap.

Yeah, I know, but honestly, some red wine looks exactly like grape juice. Besides, is it going to kill me right now?

Actually a little alcohol is good for u. and I mean a little like a half a beer of a half a glass of wine a day. cause the alcohol actually kills germs in your mouth throat and stomach to help prevent sickness. Also thins out the blood to relieve pressure suck as headaches. Also If your in a lot of pain drinking hightnes your pain tolernece

Yup, I know, my Mommy told me! Isn't also good for your heart, too?

Conflicting reports (what's new?). Some researchers claim their studies show that the amount of alcohol that it takes to have a benefitil affect on your heart also is enough to have the negative consequences associated with it.

Drinking to get rid of headaches is called alcoholism in my book...

I don’t drink to get rid of headaches. Actually I don’t really get headaches at all. And as far as drinking I’m a social drinker only. I never drink at home. Only at my friends house on football Sundays and parties etc.

I didn't figure you actually did. But I know there are people out there who do and it is a shame.

One thing I've never understood is why people need to find reasons to drink. THings like drinking games, silly holidays, etc...if you are a college guy and want to get drunk, get drunk. You don't have to play some aimless card game just to do it.
